I've never heard of it mysef, but I assume it was to play games and make money, and was a failure.

Did a Google and found this.
Apparently Nintendo made a deal with a no-name company to grant them a license to the Nintendo name on stuff like these joysticks. Dunno why Nintendo would do such a thing, nor what else came from the licensing deal. Looks like a nice joystick, though it's weird that it even exists. What's a Nintendo branded controller doing on a platform that doesn't offer Nintendo games? (Officially, at least.)
Then again, don't see why those kinda joysticks were so big for so long. All they were really good for at the time was flight simulators IMO.
I'm pretty okay.

They probably were testing the market to see if by lending their names to other products it would create more revenue for them. It probably didn't do to well since you dont hear of it anymore, either that or they focused their attention elseware and nothing came out of that deal.

Nintendo at that time also licensed the N64 name & logo to camera's, radio's and all kinds of other unrelated products. Nice curiosities for the avid collector but no real merit or value.
