Wondering if anyone is having the same issue as me. Sound works and menu shows up but when I press start on any game it doesn't load. I called customer support and they said I need to send it in for a repair/troubleshoot and should get it back in 3 weeks.
It's the real old school experience. If you buy old retro consoles, you're not sure if they work either. I heard that's something Nintendo wanted to recreate with this system.
But hey, if they said you should send it in, maybe that's what you should do! It sucks, but sometimes hardware doesn't work. They can't test every single item before shipping them.
Try using only the cord that came with it. I bought an extra cord and it will not allow me to play anything. However, when I unplug this cord I can play everything. Oh, we also plugged in a WI controller and it worked. Might be your problem.
