I know someone who thinks that the graphics on pre 64 bit (primarily NES and SNES) consoles were all prerendered, while I say that all those games drew their graphics in real time. I can't really find anything online that explains how the NES/SNES renders their graphics, so I thought I would ask here how the NES and SNES render their graphics.
NES and most SNES games used sprites. Which is basically like moving clip art on the screen. The art is already rendered, just being displayed like a paint-by-numbers image.
