I'm thinking about buying an NES soon, and specifically the Original Model, like this:

However, I have a couple questions about how it works:

1. Can it be hooked up with AV Cables, or can it only work with an Analog Plug?
2. Do the extra controllers like the NES Advantage, the Cycloid, etc work?
3. Does the Zapper need any special wiring like the Power Glove?
4. Are Color Glitches a huge problem?

That's all the questions I have now. If someone could answer them, that would be nice

1. Yes

2. Yes
NES Advantage requires both controller ports.
3. No
Zapper plugs into the 2P port, and you select game modes with a normal pad from the 1P port.
4. Color glitches? Metroid has some coloring issues when you move through a room too fast, but nothing that really impacts the game.

On the Zapper, i believe i read it may not work with some modern TVs, due to the way the signal was processed/displayed.

And not sure what you mean by "color glitches".

She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong.

SMB3 is probably the most famous example of "color glitches". The NES' scrolling capabilities were somewhat limited, and it was really only designed for horizontal or vertical scrolling (not both at the same time), so it was best to scroll in 16-pixel increments.
But SMB3 wanted smoother scrolling, so the right edge of the screen will often have wrong colors.
(and with most TVs in the '80s, overscan would clip the edges of the screen anyways, so it wasn't seen as a big deal at the time)
