So i just bought an n64 and was really excited to play it. I hooked it up to the lcd tv in my bedroom. It dosent have composite so i bought a composite to hdmi converter. When i loaded up super mario, the screen flickerd like hell and it was totally unplayable. However, when i loaded ocarina of time it was fine, well apart from it looked a bit blurry and washed out. I tried directly plugging in my n64 to another tv in the house that had composite cable inpit (so minus the hdmi converter). This time mario64 worked, but it looked awful. Yhe brightness was way to high, itvwas blurry and looked bleached. I messed about with the picture setrings and got it to look a nit better but it still wasnt great. So, i thought that tge hdmi converter caused the issue and was faulty, but when i tried it on the wii it worked perfectly fine. So, can someone please tell me how i can get the screen to stop flickering for mario 64 in my room and make the picture look decent. Next thing im honna try is composite to scart, cause my tv has a scart input. Failing that im going to get a new n64 to composite cable. Any other suggestions? (Thanks)
