I've been playing video games since I was 3. Over the years, I've played lots of good games and lots of bad games. I love Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto. I loved The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, it was a really good game. I really enjoyed the cartoon like graphics, the boss battles were incredible, and I had loads of fun playing it. I tried playing the Ocarina of time, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword. I didn't really enjoy those games. I would play the beginning of these games and like it, at first. But as I get further I kinda lose interest. I've read game reviews on these games. I tried playing them again, and again. I just can't get into these games.

Well... I LOVE ZELDA... I'm a Huge fan the games and music...
You have your personal preference, and that is good... this is my personal Zelda preferences in order...
1. Skyward Sword ( It is a complete great puzzle great animated graphics w great character design)
2. Ocarina Of Time (Best story events of the series)
3. Link to the Past (Best Top View Zelda, Great Dungeons and Game concept)
4. Wind Waker (Very good spin-off with cute graphics)
5. Minish Cap (Best portable Zelda)

I love the Zelda music, that is why I have made some music covers on saxophone of some of those...
(Ocarina and Link to the Past) Kakariko Village:

(Skyward Sword) Ballad of the Goddess:

(Wind Waker) Aryll's Theme... (this is for you, enjoy)

Well Wind Waker was my least favorite Zelda. I didnt like it so much that I couldn't even finish it. The graphics were just a huge turn off to me. I don't like toon Link at all.

Ocarina is my favorite followed by A Link to the Past. I am really looking forward to the 3DS sequel.

Nintendo is half way there into making the 3DS irresistible to me know. A Link to the Past is my second favorite game of all time so a sequel is as tempting is a date to a drive-in movie with April O'Neil in the Party Wagon. Now, if they had a new Metroid game in the style of Super Metroid, my favorite game, then that right there would be the anchovies on the pizza for me!

I've yet to play Wind Waker, but I have completed both Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, both of which carry the Wind Waker's visual direction. Compared to the other games, I feel the "Toon" games have made a more inviting atmosphere with their more light-hearted visuals. When there's an inviting atmosphere, a game's easier for me to get into. I haven't gotten that same feeling early on in any other Zelda games. With Ocarina of Time, I probably felt invited into the game first with Hyrule Field. I've yet to come across an inviting atmosphere in Twilight Princess nor Skyward Sword, but I'm also still very early in both games.

WW is NOT a spin-off. Link's Crossbow Yrainng, as well as the wonderful Tingle series, are spin-offs.

I love every Zelda. They're all AMAZING!

Too bad for you then if you're unable to enjoy them, but that doesn't mean the games won't live on without anyone playing and liking them.

Backloggery. Now playing: 3D Dot Game Heroes, Donkey Kong, EarthBound Beginnings, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, and Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+.

@WaveHead You will come running back to Wind Waker saying your sorry for talking smack after playing Skyward Sword

My favorites are Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Skward Sword, and Minish Cap.

Really, I think Majora's Mask had the deepest story and the most bizarre things going on within the game, so that made it my favorite on a conceptual level.

Wind Waker: I thought the sailing was cool. Yup... Anyway, the game was fun for me. There was alot to be explored on the Great Sea. The sidequests were good, and I thought graphics and such were overall pretty good. I got the game when it came out back in 6th gen.

Skyward Sword: I like the motion controls. I do kinda wish the pointing controls were more accurate, but I was able to deal with them. That's probably the most fun I've had with a Zelda game since Wind Waker, honestly.
The bird was way cooler than Epona, sorry. I can travel on foot by myself.

Minish Cap: I thought the shrink thing was cool, and the kinstone sidequests were interesting. I just thought there was alot you could do in the game without feeling there were features missing. I came from Wind Waker and Four Sword Adventures on the GCN, so it seemed more fitting than the other Zeldas. I agree with it being the best handheld Zelda.

Runner ups for my favorites are OoT, and TP. I beat OoT before MM, but MM seemed more fleshed out. It was more difficult and complex at first glance.
I REALLY didn't like TP when it first came out. I got the Wii on launch with TP and RedSteel, and I found myself playing RedSteel more. I've come to appreciate the game, but it didn't give me a good first impression.

Those are the only games I really like to play in the series alot. LttP is probably next after everything else.
In conclusion, I'm one of those people that think the more more recent Legend of Zelda games are better. OoS/A and LA are ok for the most part.

EDIT: Four Swords was cool when there were 4 people with GBA systems.
Also, that bit about Epona... I like just walking around in the field without the horse. It gives more sense of exploration, IMO.
The bird was cool, though. People can't fly, so it felt like it benefited the game more than just getting other places on the ground faster.

You're not alone there. Ocarina of Time was boring as hell about half way in, and I quit because of it.
