I bought a SNES after mine broke down. I already have these games:
Secret of Mana
Secret of Evermore
Illusion of Time
Ultimate Mortal Kombat
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
TLOZ: a link to the past
I love shooters, but especially RPGs & adventures. However, I'm also open to platforms. Which games do you recommand?

You need legend of zelda link to the past. The first zelda game I played. Street fighter 2 and mario kart are great fun when playing with friends. I really like the super Star Wars games as well.

Sorry didnt realise you said legend of zelda. Silly me for skim reading.

To name a few: Contra III, Super Castlevania IV, Actraiser, Soul Blazer, Final Fantasy II and III, Demon's Crest, Mega Man X, Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, U.N. Squadron, Super Metroid, Earthbound
To blessed to be stressed.
I miss Japanese games, the good stuff... Games that are imaginative, have good and unique gameplay, a great soundtrack, and replay value.

There is a retro recommendation thread stickied at the top of this section. Feel free to ask which SNES games to get there as more people will likely see that than a thread that could get buried.

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

Well the 2 first Donkey kong country on SNES are really special. The first for the wow graphics and fun factors and the second for improved gameplay and exploration/secrets to find. You may skip the third.

Honestly, almost every US/EU localized RPG is good and worth playing. All of Square's titles are great. Both of the Breath of Fire games are good. Lufia and the Fortress of Doom is a little rough but Lufia II is amazing. If you like RPGs but haven't played the SNES much, you're in for quite the adventure.
A few of them (like Earthbound) are to expensive for their own good but are still worth playing by, erm, other means.
Where's the KABOOM?! There was supposed to be an earth-shattering KABOOM! sigh delays...delays...

I have to suggest Secret of Mana as well. Even got the soundtrack eventually.

According to your profile it says you're from Belgium, so I assume you own a PAL SNES? If so, there's not really a whole lot of options regarding RPG's since a lot of them didn't make it over to Europe. This means no games like FFIV, FFVI, Chrono Trigger or Earthbound. However, Terranigma is one of the few RPG's that was released over there and is one of the better games for the console so I'll recommend that one.
As for shooters, Axelay is as good as you can get on the SNES imo. The SNES didn't really have many great options regarding shooters. If you want a console with plenty of quality 16-bit shooters, the PC Engine is the best choice.
As for platformers, here's my recommendations:
Super Mario World
Super Mario World 2
Super Mario All-Stars
All 3 DKC's
Kirby's Fun Pack
Jesus is the only way.
It's OK for someone to have an opinion. This ain't the Soviet Union you know.

I'm going to buy a Snes with Super Mario World and Super Mario All Stars. I'd like to create an homemade box for these games and I've already downloaded their scanned boxes. Can you help me with sizes and materials? Is out there something simple like papercraft models to create boxes? Thanks!
