For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
Getting knocked back when hit, usually straight down a pit.
That's one of my main gripes, too! I call it the "Ninja Gaiden Syndrome"
But what annoys me the most is dying on spikes, no matter how much health you have. That I find unacceptable.
Like all Megaman games? I hate that too! So...freaking...annoying... I hate swinging my wiimote blindly in Twilight Princess. Pressing a button to swing your sword was loads better.
EDIT: Twilight Princess isn't really a retro game, is it? Okay then.... ooh! I hate it when your character can't jump. I guess I'm too used to Mario games...but in Zelda games it doesn't bother me for some reason.
Sean Aaron ~ "The secret is out: I'm really an American cat-girl." Q: How many physicists does it take to change a light bulb? A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.
Limited continues in a tough-as-nails game where dying is easy peasy! Why I'll never finish some old NES games like Ninja Gaiden III during my lifetime... At least without cheating.
I hate it when you can only save at certain areas, but there is too few save points. Take Donkey Kong Country for example. A great game for sure, but it ruins the game for me when, after finally beating a level after many tries, you have to few lives to make it through the next level but you can't save because the next save point is not accessible yet.
More often than not you have to go through all that frustration again, just because you either cannot reach the save point or the plane that allows you to fly back to the save point in the previous world.
