I'm horribly biased toward modern, so I was wondering if these games are any good.

Pitfall: the Lost Expedition- it looks toony, but fun
Frogger- is it a good remake?

Pitfall: The Lost Expedition? I loved that game as a kid. I wish I had bought it. I rented it all the time

The Frogger remake is good if you like Frogger, especially at only 500 points for the WiiWare version.

Don't know about the Pitfall game (haven't played it), but i haven't heard good things. Of course, i haven't really liked any Pitfall game since the original 2600 games (though the SNES game was ok)

Well the newest Carmen Sandiego game was total garbage. :/

IGN gave Frogger Returns a 4.6 out of 10, citing its bad camera angle, no online leaderboards, and for the fact that you can't hold the Wiimote sideways.

Frogger for the PS1 is amazing. One of the best renditions of Frogger IMO. If you ever get a chance to play it; do. That game is my childhood. ;D

I'll avoid complaining about the typical IGN whiney-ness of that review and just say:
The not-sideways Wiimote was off-putting at first, but after like a second, you get used to it. The camera angle complaint is kinda fair, since sometimes it's hard to tell if you need to double-jump or just single jump, but it's rarely so bad that it really affects gameplay. As far as the online leaderboards go ... meh, don't give a crap about that, and that really shouldn't be a justification IMO for down-rating a game. Should it have had them? Probably. Does it in any way whatsoever affect the gameplay? Nope.

Yeah, I was waiting for that. I don't know what anyone have against IGN and I'll admit I've enjoyed a game that it gave a poor score on but then that wasn't the only source that reviewed it as a mediocre game either.

Most mainstream gaming sites are horrible. IGN is a mainstream gaming site. Nuff said.

Well yeah, the game did get a fair amount of mediocre reviews/scores, but it didn't really make sense to me (not that i ever have a problem with a game i enjoyed getting weak reviews; doesn't matter to me). But I mean, it's Frogger. What were people expecting? Some sort of innovative new gameplay? =)

Yeah, IGN sucks for deducting points for "no online". Since when does Frogger need online? It was originally an arcade game for cripes sake! It's only a matter of time before IGN starts speculating about an online Zelda game (heaven forbid!).

@StarFox Next thing you know, we'll need online Final Fantasy! Oh wait...
