I totally skipped the time between the Atari 2600 and now I have a wii which i got a few years ago. Anyway a friend recommended Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem and loved it. This lead me to Beyond Good and Evil which I liked even more. So my question, know about these two games, would anyone know of more games that were under the radar that would be good for me to try? Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

That's an immense jump. You're asking us to name all the good games which came out in the 80s, 90s and 00s?

Too many to count, almost all of the ones I could name are not on the Wii or GCN though.

You may want to post in the retro recommendations thread. Also, post what sorts of games you like (more generally than just Eternal Darkness and BG&E) or no one can give you any good suggestions!

More like 8000...

If you liked Eternal Darkness, you should try the Silent Hill series or Resident Evil 4.
