Among all people, I thought I would be the last to start a thread like this.
This thread is intended for the discussion of all Metroid Prime games (yes, even hunters).
I'll start the ball rolling. Anyway, here's the scoop. Personally, I'm not a shmp fan. However, over the holidays I've been coaching a friend through the game (Yes, he really does need someone to coach him. It took him over a dozen tries to make it through the tutorial stage.) So far, things have gone well, and we've decided to tackle the game in a series of stints throughout the year.
He's finally made it through the Talon Ruins, and I just realized that he's missing a scan of the Parasite Queen. Is there any way to obtain this scan later in the game, or can he kiss a 100% scan goodbye? I could really see this being incorporated by 3DS street-pass.
I'll start off by saying Prime is the best Retro has brought us. I've never been so engrossed into a first person shooter before and off the top of my head I can only come up with a little under 0 complaints to say about that game. I can't even begin to start my rant on how I LOVE this game. But I will say the musics amazing and Phendrana Drifts is by far my favorite Metroid environment.
Echoes was a great sequel and all, but the whole ammunition system wasn't my favorite thing in the world. Along with that the morph ball was used way too much. The atmosphere was unique in a positive way and the difficulty (even though very "cheap"), was actually a nice addition the adventure since it felt like an accomplishment.
As for Corruption, well, I love that game to death. I found it to wrap up the trilogy quite nicely. The graphics were spot on, controls were amazing, the voice acting set a great standard to all other Wii games, and the fun factor was immense.

I had Hunters and Prime 3. Honestly, they weren't as good as I hoped for. If they had at least a little more guidance on pointing out where to go (especially in Hunters), I probably would have liked them more. Also, Hunters gave me terrible hand cramps...
I bought Metroid Prime a long time ago because of the price, and I loved it. After beating it, I didn't touch the series again until MPH on the DS. I remember beating it, but never played the multi much before I sold it
Now of course I bought the Trilogy on Wii, which is probably one of the best Wii games I own. Love the Prime games
All the Prime games are among my favorite games ever, even Hunters. They're all just mad fun games with great atmosphere and fleshed-out worlds, not to mention some seriously good gameplay and great graphics. I love every bit of everyone of them, with very few flaws in each.
I'm really enjoying Metroid Prime 3 right now, but I'm not sure where to go. I just got the screw attack and each path seems to be cut off by some ability I don't have yet.
@Link-Hero Thanks for the help. My friend and I probably wouldn't have the patience to scan everything anyway. However I really could see scan sharing working with 3ds street-pass. It kind of reminds me how GBC Lego island 2 had a card trader I bashed through that game several times, and every time I beat the game, the story would reset, but I would get to keep my cards.

I believe you go to Skytown. But if thats not where you go can you be more specific on what you just did?
