Hang him! xD I don't know, there are people that don't like Zelda but I guess they are in the minority though. Even alot of people who are not Nintendo fans LOVE Zelda.

Nope, stay away from Zelda.
Their poorly made games with horrible soundtracks, I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to play those awful games.

You should play a little retro game called WildWoody, best game I have ever played.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

yeah you are. It's cliched to say this but Zelda games are awesome. Like consistently great titles, even the lesser half tend to be pretty good.

The only Zelda games I could never really get into were Zelda 1 & 2, Link's Awakening, OoA/OoS, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks. The rest were fine, IMO.

The way I differentiate those titles in comparison to the rest, is like feeding a dog "people food", then they don't want to eat dog food.

It's ok, though. I don't really like Final Fantasy.

May I have not played Totally Rad in about 20 years. Thanks for that reminder that I should find my copy and replay it again.

Ontopic: You should really play them man. If you are gonna start to play them I would recommend "A Link to the Past" as your starting game.

Some Zelda games are absolute classics (A Link to the Past, the Oracle games, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Link's Awakening, etc.) while others I'm not too fond of (Phantom Hourglass, Zelda 1 + 2). All of them should be experienced, though, as they're integral to the development of video games over the years. I would also recommend you start with A Link to the Past.

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

you really should play every zelda game you can get your hands on i am 22 years old and have played every one of them multiple times and take it from me nothing compares to feeling you get when you here that beautiful music and the exploring and adventures are nearly endless your cheating yourself if you don't play at least one of these classic games

@WaveBoy, After 25 years, isn't it time you played some other than Mega Man?

Do you really need to ask? I'm sure you know by now whether or not the series interests you. If it does just pick up one of its games and give it a go.

I don't understand how anybody can dislike Links Awakening but like A Link to The Past.

Or Vice Versa. (They are nearly exactly the same but which ever you play second will be super easy).

Well, I've been a Nintendo fan since 2001, and I just started playing LoZ when the Four Swords Anniversary DSiWare was available... and free! I lost my 3DS before I could even get past the second level, and I didn't have a Club Nintendo account so I lost it. I always thought that LoZ was one of those games where you just wack stuff with a sword and use spells. That's what I got out Super Smash Bros. and watching a cousin play Twilight Princess. That all changed just last year. I played the NES LoZ, I haven't play Zelda II but I downloaded it, and I also have the same Twilight Princess that my cousin played years ago. I will now be getting all LoZ games. I didn't realize what I was missing. If you haven't played a Zelda game before, then get $5 and buy yourself the NES LoZ on the Wii U or 3DS Virtual Console... because it is worth it!

Because there's no safe zones in A Link to the Past, making traversing the overworld constantly perilous, and the overworld in Link's Awakening is a maze made worse by the completely useless in-game map? Those are the reasons I can think of, at least.

For the record, I'm what you may call a Zelda fan yet I've only played Skyward Sword. Heck, I've only had it for a month and also haven't finished it. It's a franchise I've always been wanting to get into but just can't quite get heavily involved in.
