I'm steadily progressing through MM, and it looks like I'll be stuck in Clock Town for awhile while I run all these errands for people. Is this a common feature of the game?
Yes. There's only 4 temples in the game. In my opinion it's definitely the weakest Zelda.
The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

I wouldn't call it the weakest. It was just more story-heavy and side quests galore.

I loved that aspect of the game. If you learn to abuse the Songs of Time to be 'where' you need to be, it's great fun. Hanging about waiting? Not so much.
I like to start a three day run with a relative plan, then see how many people I can please using my mastery of time and space.

Same idea i would use, but when the hanging around would happen, the plan would change, there was way too many possibilies in three days, thats what made it very replayable in my opinion, and kept me hooked until I found as many things as possible:)
Yeah, getting distracted is quite easy. If I found myself with a few hours to wait, I'd go hunting rupees to drop off at the bank. Or go watch the Teardrop fall again, just so I could listen to that tune! [youtube:s0krxH0dWhU]

OMG I need to play this again now.
Holy s***. Alright you win. I know we weren't fighting but you win ok? Is that a poster in the vdeo a poster i can find somewhere?
I think that was a concept art poster for the game. I'm sure you could find a print of it somewhere to buy. I just had a quick look but got distracted by this...
If Link spends most of his time doing sidequests, why does he need a sword?
It's a man thing, probably.
Yeah, I wear a green dress and have long blonde hair and look like a girl.
But.
I HAVE A SWORD!
i don't know how to use it, but it's there
Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
I can get rich quickly in the game. Simply jump across the sign of the shooting gallery and follow the platforms to the treasure chest, which contains a white rupee. Put it in the bank. Repeat.

@Machu - that picture is awesome, and does represent the feeling at the start of the game quite well.
@Starfox - I always tried to go to the bank any time I was about to go back in time. So eventually the money does build up quite well without really noticing it. Also goign behind the shooting gallery was the first thing I did everytime I went back in time.
