I've got the DX version and it's great, I recommend it, although I've never compared it to the B&W version. I can see no reason why not to get it if the opportunity arises.

Well, from my understanding they are exactly the same except for the DX version having an optional extra dungeon.

And DX has colour.

The original version is perfectly fine (and is the version I own), but assuming there's not much difference in price and you can find a decent seller you might as well get the DX version and enjoy the colour and extra dungeon. I seem to recall there was GB printer support too.

OK the prices are very similar I'll buy the DX version. Thnx people.

EDIT: Well, it seems I can buy the B&W version for 7 bucks (plus S&H), or the DX version for 14 bucks (plus S&H). Still don't know which one to buy!

No idea if that's the going rate but I'd happily hand over $14 for the DX version.

I played the DX version, as I never had a Game Boy Classic. I can't see playing black & white games, so I'll take the remake.

DX version. If i remember, wasn't it also one of those hybrid carts that would still play in a classic GameBoy (without color, obviously)?

She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong.

I played through the original black & white version before the DX remake came out. It plays like any full-color game, just gotta think of it as being in greyscale... like watching shows on a B&W TV.

When the DX version came out, the addition of color was nice, but I found it actually took away from the experience because the "greyscale" illusion was gone and all that was left was a less-colorful game. If that makes any sense.

Links awakening if you want classic, DX for extras content etc.

I'm an 8bit kind of guy!

Seeing as I only played the Game Boy Pocket original, I'd have to say the original. Though the choice is yours, Qwikman.

OK I bought the DX version, and it came 2 days later! Anyway, I've completed the first two dungeons, and its a little bit more challenging than I thought. Its really easy to die (I've died 6 times so far, so no bonus ending for me ), though that's probably because I suck at the 2D Zeldas. I love the game so far, great graphics and effects (Hell, you could probably almost mistake it for a 16-bit game if it weren't for the sound quality), though the only thing that I don't really like about it is how you have to press all 4 buttons at the same time to save the game, and whenever you save, you go back to the main menu. Pretty good game, though.
