I just bought Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and CoD:MWRE and I can't seem to play them because I'm addicted to Advance Wars 2! Anyone else a fan of Advance Wars? What's your favorite game of the series?

I loves me some Advance Wars. The first DS outing it by far my favorite, even if some of the missions forced you into taking the exact path and strategies the developers had in mind.

Just finished AW2. I think I'm going to give it a rest before I pop in Dual Strike (want to finish Scurge, and have some Wii games to play) but it's definitely a title I'm going to get to sooner rather than later (already own it, so may as well play it!)

I have Dual Strike and Days of Ruin.

Both are great fun, although I prefer the more light-hearted nature of DS

I'm not too far in DoR but I really liked the story from what I'd played.

gives advance wars lots of love

My favorite is still Advance Wars: Dual Strike (I like the more lightheartedness of the earlier ones, and that was the biggest and best of those), but I do enjoy them all and hope for IS to start working on a new one.

And even though it's a long long shot, it'd be nice to get some of the earlier Wars games on VC. It won't happen, but it would be cool. :3

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

I liked the original and Dual Strike the best. Probably Advance Wars overall, I think they got the balance pretty much right the first time around. The first time you saw that meteorite coming towards you...

Yeah, that meteorite was devastating! I was damn lucky! Then the next mission was pretty difficult too, I didn't think that was possible!
I only played the first (my save has since been erased through unknown means) and haven't picked it up since. I was planning to finish unlocking all the characters. I don't have a DS, but that little multiplayer mode on dual strike was fun
These games are so excellently balanced!

Both Advance Wars and Fire Emblem series are great games hopefully will see more of both on Wii and DS in the future.

I've just recently started to see what the fuss is about Advance Wars. I'd played the GBA games a bit ,and thought they were OK,then tried dual strike but that felt unbalanced to me because of the CO powers.I recently picked up Dark Conflict (Days of ruin to the Americans among us) cheap and have been addicted to it ever since. I don't know why but this one has just clicked for me,it's not the story particularly ,I usually skip all that, but it just feels very balanced and I really like the darker theme too.Its a shame the shop was removed but some of the trial maps are pretty cool. Oh and the map editor and Wi-Fi are great too. I can spend hours just tinkering with little maps ,making a good ,well balanced map is hard though.

What's this bit for again?

Bassman_Q

I have AW2, AW: DS, and AW: DoR. Dual Strike is my favorite, since I've logged in over 100 hours from that one and loved playing as all the COs. However, Advance Wars 2 seemed to have the most balance in overall CO advantages and disadvantages. DS had certain characters overpowered, whether it be heightening their advantages or lowering the disadvantages. I really liked the skill system in DS, though. Days of Ruin has the best plotline, and is the best if you like designing maps (50 slots for custom maps!). I think all the Advance Wars games are awesome, though, and hope IS makes more with the original cast soon.

I like Advance Wars but Fire Emblem seems boring.
