Definitly my least favorite Zelda, although I have yet to play Twilight Princess suprisingly....I think the dull brown and grey color scheme is turning me off... Anyways, back to WW! Now I loved the unique, daring and beautiful Art Direction, along with the core gameplay. But the Sailing killed it for me, and I couldn't stand the music. It was a love/hate it experience for me. At times I wanted to call it quits, but then I got sucked into it once again. Yet I remember calling it quits later on after I beat the Water temple
Funny thing is, i definitly had a better time with Phantom Hour Glass, which has the same art direction as WW, and the Sailing is back once again. But the sailing is much more fun in the DS version due to touch screen controls ect ect.
If it was regarded as a good game at one time and you think you're interested in playing it then I would say its definitely worth playing. Just because it is "old" now doesn't mean its not worth it.
IMO Wind Waker was a risk to take. However they did it great and it really worked. Its definitely is one of if not the best Gamecube and Legend of Zelda games.
I never thought Wind Waker was worth it, even after completing it. The sailing really dragged the game down, as did the complete lack of challenge and disappointing number of dungeons. The dungeons that are there are good, there's just not enough of them and too much empty space between them.
This thread can die now. I got the game last week and I`m already searching for the triforce shards. I for one love sailing, and this is an easy game so far.
Well I guess it`s settled. On a side note, anyone know where I can find a wireless gamecube controller?
Well Nintendo couldn't sell them due to the lawsuit with Anascape, but now that it's over I think the controllers may be sold again in retailers. As for now, look at eBay, Amazon or Gamestop
Current games: Everything on Switch

Great to know im not the only one who loves the sailing. Have fun with your game
I can't comment about Wind Waker because I haven't played it yet... but after getting 60% of the way through Link's Awakening on Game Boy I'm pretty confident in saying that Zelda games stay "worth playing" for a long long time.
