Even the metroid game box website doesn't have an image of this one.Not even a fake cartridge picture.I really need to know because the Nintendo logo looks like my american kirby nightmare in dreamland. The logo that is on the board not the cartridge.
No. It was made by a shady chinese company. And yes, that's fake. The label isn't right, the case looks like other fakes I've seen...you'll be lucky if it saves for more than 2 weeks...
By their very nature, reproduction carts are not from Nintendo. Does the cart stick out a bit further than normal carts when you put it in the GBA? That's one problem I've had with a couple of repros.
Although I think what you have there is just the original, it's just the label was damaged or removed, and someone thought (correctly) that they could get more money off of it if it had any label.
The insides look like the real deal; they have official Nintendo markings. This is a repro board: http://circuit-board.de/forum/index.php/Attachment/2719-mario...

No, you can see from the picture that the case is a fake, just by looking at the "Game Boy Advance" part of it.

I was wondering if the inside was legit though. I have seen a couple of fake carts with real innards because the original got cracked. But yeah, I just opened my Zero Mission cart, and that is NOT what the inside looks like.
It's most definitely a bootleg, you can tell by a country mile just by looking at the cartridge. GBA first party titles hardly came with such amateurish labels. Also, there's no Nintendo quality seal, and the ESRB rating looks fatter than it should.
As for the board, if I remember correctly the original cartridges didn't come with the ring around the Nintendo logo, and the font was definitely bolder.
Don't feel bad if you've got a bootleg because everybody who has bought at least some GBA carts has got a bootleg too. I myself had a few obvious ones.

Well I will bring the game back.I will say to the seller that darker cartridges are likely fakes use this cartridge and my kirby one as an indicator of fake copies. The shape of the thing above the gameboy advance logo is different shape to all my other games and the Nintendo logo on the chip is also different. There are no numbers hidden on the labels if you put them under a light.Real bummer because I liked Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland and Metroid Zero Mission.I don't feel right about buying and playing fake copies.

I'm not convinced Final Fantasy VI Advance was ever a real game, considering how many fakes I've run upon over the years...

I laughed because my copy of FFVI Advance is a bootleg, which just happens to be the only one I own.
@ZukutoBen a sure-fire method by which you can tell if a cartridge is a bootleg on the spot, without opening the shell, is to look for the indentation, which is a small two digit number inprinted on the label. Doesn't matter how good a cartridge looks (some pirate ones look better than the originals) - if they don't have the inprint, they are bootlegs.
I think the best way to tell a seller you want your money back because they have given you a bootleg is to actually print out the info of the genuine/fake copies and show them to him, adding that the game DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY and it freezes often in mid-game (which happens a lot with pirate copies). Granted, selling bootlegs is illegal, but the second hand market is kind of a "gray zone", and many sellers don't genuinely know they are selling bootleg copies until someone comes back for a refund.
I remember in the early days of GameStop they used to sell a lot of GBA bootlegs, because they didn't know. Some I got unknowingly, and some I got deliberately just for a laugh, because the labels were so obvious. All my GBA stuff got lost in me mom's basement now, but one day I'll undig it and have another laugh.

I brought the game back. The seller says it will go to someone who doesn't care and someone who isn't a collector.I sold the kirby game to him and said to him that it was a fake cartridge and he gave me £2 for kirby nightmare in dreamland that I got from a different shop and Metroid Zero Mission £8 which was the money I spent on it originally.I think I'll buy both of these games on the eshop when I have the time.I kept the metroid zero mission guide by Nintendo Power for when I get the game again or just as a collectors item. It's not in amazing condition and pretty much every page is fine but one slightly teared but nothing major.
