Sonic Heroes is great, and those who say otherwise can be smited by Big the Cat.

Sonic heroes is awful sloppy platforming, cheap enemies, weak, repetitive combat, and Big the Cat. i know a lot of people actually like it, but along withe every other sonic game on the PS2 or GC, i hated it

I absolutely love the way SA's Sonic stages are designed. Unfortunately the game is really glitchy, and the non-Sonic levels SUCK.

I can understand if you don't like the game, but the fact I COMPLETED IT means it can't have been as bad as you all make it out to be.

What?
There's plenty of games that i've completed that absolutely suck.
And even if a game sucks, it's okay for you to personally like it.
Example: I absolutely love The Legend of Kage, which apparently is almost universally considered to be a steaming pile.

Sonic Adventure is truly a wonderful game. I could elaborate, but I feel that this thread has already done that for me.

Just to throw it out there, I played it through to 100% over the summer of 2001 with my cousin and am currently enjoying redoing that right now. If anything, it's better than the original because a Dualshock just feels better than a DC controller. (Unless of course you liked the VMU functions which are obviously absent).

Bacon, RPG elements and cute girls, what more could you want?

@YoshiSage: I would have to agree with most of your points there. However, I didn't think Knuckles' stages were all that confusing, I actually enjoyed them (for the most part). I also thought Amy's stages weren't all that terrible either, atleast they were playable, unlike Big's stages. Big was the only character I dreaded playing as.

I also find it interesting how some people can call the camera system broken. I don't think thats true at all. The only instance were the camera really gave me trouble was during that fight against Chaos on that lake. Other then that, the camera was pretty adequate. Honestly, the camera in Mario Gallaxy gave me more trouble then the camera in the SA games.

.... or something like that.

Yeah...when the gamecube was still going, I expected each new Sonic game to be awesome. I was wrong on all accounts. I remember when I was sooo excited for Sonic Heroes, but then the reviews came out and I forgot about it. I then saw it at a random store not too long after the Wii came out and decided to pick it up, just because it was cheap and I remember really wanting it at one point. Am I glad that I never paid full price for that let-down. I didn't expect much after a few years, but I at least expected some entertainment and fun... That was the last time I played a Sonic game. I might try 4; but it's not real likely.

@shpydar - Legend of Kage rocks (in the crappiest way possible). I heard they made a DS sequel a year back or so...never played, but prob should given all my monotonous hours playing the first and somehow enjoying it

A lot of those old games way better than the sum of their parts for some strange reason. Gain Ground comes to mind on that note.

@theshpydar&Swerd_Murd - oh, my goodness, I absolutely enjoyed The Legend of Kage when I was little. And I still do (even though I haven't played it in years).

No it's not that bad, but it`s because the game is re-release, but the game has lots of great features especially the chao gardens.

the_shpydar

@Swerd
Glad someone else appreciates Legend of Kage! I put countless hours into that game, both in the arcades and on NES. And i still play it fairly frequently. =)

I bought the DS sequel to Kage and traded it back in after beating it. It was okay, but just kinda "meh" and somewhat disappointing. Worth checking out (since it's usually very cheap, even new copies), but doesn't have the same feel as the original; felt more like a weak imitation of the 2D Ninja Gaiden games, actually.

EDIT: Yes! Starboy's on board with the Legend of Kage appreciation society too! =D

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.

Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

How could it possibly? The camera in Galaxy, especially Galaxy 2 was almost perfectly dynamic. There was almost never any need to shift it. That was actually one of the things people praised about the game. In contrast, pretty much everyone on the planet agrees that even by Dreamcast standards, the camera in Sonic Adventure was abysmal. People complained about it when it first came out, and the problems are even more noticeable today.
