I never really noticed anything odd with FFIV advance.

Anyway, you sure got the whole package. Enjoy.

@DarthNocturnal:
It has been really easy, but I don't mind that seeing as how it's my introduction to the series. I'd rather learn the basics before jumping into the harder games.

@Morpheel:
Thanks! I'm sure I will.

Thanks again to everyone for your input and suggestions. I'm enjoying what I've played of Final Fantasy so far, and I just may end up becoming a fan of the whole series.

@BinaryFragger: Thanks! I'd like to play 1-6, at the very least, and possibly 7 if I can find a good version of it. Maybe I'll wait for the remake.
I hope I like Crystal Chronicles, even if I have to play it alone. I bought it on a whim with the intention of playing it with my roommate/brother, but it turns out that he can't remember where he packed his GBA before we moved. So even though I have two GBA/GCN link cables, it won't do us much good without two GBAs.

I played the opening of FFTA a few days ago, and sadly I'm not too impressed so far. I'm sure it picks up after a bit, and especially once you get the hang of it, but I was expecting something closer to Fire Emblem, and this feels so much slower. Plus the menus are pretty foreign to me and aren't all that intuitive. It took me a while just to find where the save button was buried.
It's a shame, too, because I've always heard good things about it, and in hindsight I think it was the most overpriced FF game I've purchased so far.
But who knows, maybe I'll end up loving it.

Not sure which version you were playing but it supposedly only affects the US version. Even though that's the one I played and I never noticed anything really game-breaking. The only thing I might complain about is the battle/menu font is really tiny (more than FF1+2). Though it's not as bad when played on a DS (I recall the screen was slightly bigger).

I had the US version (getting any other version would've been hard!).

I miss it, I "kinda" traded it to a friend for Resident Evil DS. Then he traded it away some time after that. I have many other ways to play it so I don't really need it, but that was my first one. Nostalgia.
