Could have been any number of reasons like maybe the programers thought they were to hard or easy, disrupted the flow of the gameplay, or just didnt have the space for all those levels.
I always wondered what happened to that level with the flying beetles in it that was on the back of the box. I remember going through every level when I first got that game just to play that level. lol
Awesome find there, guy also has some SMB2/SMB usa footage and other titles too. Still a damn shame SMB4(world) had the racoon and removed it for the dopey cape.
