Hello everyone!
I have a NES, Super Famicon, and an N64 that I am considering modifying. They're not very worn out, but they're old.
Here's what I plan to do
Dissemble them and have them professionally painted in red and gold, making all three consoles look alike
Insert a light behind the Nintendo 64 logo on the N64 to make it light.
Change the "power" lights from red to blue or green (haven't decided yet)
Change every part that I can inside each console, to the newest available option
I don't care about the value increase / decrease, as i am a hardcore Nintendo collector, and I want my machines to look fresh, unique and run like a charm for at least another 20 years.
But I want to ask if anyone here has any ideas better than mine, or other modifications that i haven't thought about (that will actually benefit / look good). I will take into consideration, and you guys will see the outcome of my machines when they're done.

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
@unrandomsam: I dont think that was what the OP was talking about modding. :/
Yeah but once you do a case mod doing any of the other mod's becomes much harder.
Especially the SNES one the cost is dirt cheap and even paying somebody to do it (Which I think is unnecessary) is offset by being able to use a PAL or SFC cart for just one of the most desirable games. (The PAL ones you can start in PAL then flip to NTSC - Super Famicom just use it set to the right mode).
No point in trying to make something look nice when the insides are poor quality. Or pay Analog Interactive.

Yeah but the kind of modding you are talking about we can't talk about here.

Yes we can. I don't think you understand what I am suggesting. Switchless mod's are legal and they always have been. (Stuff like the Game Genie or Action Replays that break the region lock were as well as was even commercial games glitching the lockout chip of the NES). They are a more modern alternative to having a 50/60 switch on the console which was also perfectly legal. No piracy is happening because you still need a cartridge. RGB is the best picture quality you can get out of any of the old consoles. (Which can then externally be converted to component if necessary.)
