Before there was Atlus for strategy games there was in the 80s and 90s Koei and their Historical Simulations series. Games like Romance of the Three Kingdoms. ROTK II on NES still my fav strategy game ever. Uncharted Waters, seriously a remake would be perfect for 3D on the 3DS. Pacific Theater Operation aka PTO fun and so hard strategy game on SNES.
I noticed ROTK is on Android. Not sure why 3DS was skipped over.
Anyone misses old Koei?
@Eisenbolan: they made a rottk for the wii u launch but it was never localized for the west. the wii u has quite a few thar will never make it across the pond unfortunately.
Because, unfortunately, RotK sells like absolute crap. I doubt the last one to be localized (XII?) even broke 50k sales in Europe and the Americas combined.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
According to the ever so questionable numbers on VGChartz, the last two Strategy games they released in the West, Nobunaga's Ambition: Iron Triangle and Romance of the Three Kings IX both sold .09mil and .07mil in the west, respectively. Prior to their digital re-releases, of course.
It is on andriod because users without jailbreaking could appreciate those things via the phone which is faster. Another thing has proven that Open combat ( like Zelda ), is more liked via console gamers. To print that game it would be like making an sea of waste. Look at Odama for instance. A game built on leftover supplies.
