I thought this was a great game, and really, I can't see why anyone would hate it. Take Star Fox out of it and this game would probably be on a lot of top ten lists, but, since it's a "Star Fox game", people got pissed off and didn't like it. Sure, tricky was freaking annoying, but no more than Navi. (I cringe at the name)
I really enjoyed this game when I played through it... now star fox: assault, that game was a joke; I remember the ship felt like you were flying a sail boat and in multiplayer you couldn't see far, buildings would just appear infront of you when you got close.
Amen! it was a very solid zelda-style adventure, i thought. i loved the thing so much i went back to gamestop and bought it back after deleting my files and selling it to them and then regretting it, and have since gone back and re-played it again!

I liked Star Fox Assault. It was fun, but I think everyone could have done without the ground-based missions. They even managed to make the Landmaster suck balls, and that was my favorite part of Star Fox 64
Really? Huh, I guess every game is bound to have at least some people enjoy it. I hated it with a passion. Terrible "puzzles", horrible character design, idiotic writing and zero of the charm Zelda brings to the table. That's just my opinion, though.

i thought it was just adequate. the combat to me was a joke. all you did was smack people as fast as you could
There was a lot more to it than that, certain timing on the attack button in conjunction with dodging and rolling, and sometimes targeting meant different, and more effective attacks. In its defense, even without that, it's just the same as most adventure games, even Zelda's battle system is bash 'B' as fast as you can.
not really, in zelda you have to find the opponets weak point. sometimes you have to attack from a distance, sometimes you need to attack a different point on the enemy

that's pretty much true only for bosses and a few of the enemies.
You're only making it worse for yourself! I don't want anyone to throw a single stone until I blow my whistle, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if he does say Starfox Adventures was a great game.
For some reason, I think of Star Fox Assault every time I see SFA, not Adventures, (or even Street Fighter Alpha) therefore, we should start abbreviating Assault as SFAss. I think that's a fitting abbreviation
I was addicted at first, but it got too frustrating and Slippy's hint system was almost useless. Excellent graphics, plot, and gameplay, but the game got too hard after awhile. Buying your gear is an annoyance compared to acquiring them in dungeons in Zelda games.
Star Fox Assault rocks! I got it because I wanted something more traditional. It's an awesome sci-fi action game. I've since gotten Star Fox 64 and Star Fox Command. Can't wait til Star Fox SNES comes out for the VC.
SFAssault was really good. Another game a lot of people hated though. My only gripe is that they made the Landmaster suck so bad compared to SF64, and moving on foot was really sluggish to control.
I loved Adventure almost as much as I loved Lylat Wars. What I hated was people whinging about Nintendo trying to take the series in different direction.
