Earthbound and Chrono Trigger are both highly overrated, so don't think you are really missing much.
I emulated both of those games, and I got to the last boss of Chrono Trigger and got pissed off and quit because I HATE games that have a final boss that has 50 different forms you have to beat. It just got annoying. I never really got into Earthbound. They're both so expensive, so I don't plan on buying them.
I have Chrono Trigger for the DS, and i found the game to be real easy.

@JumpMad It isn't particularly difficult, but it's not exactly "easy" either. I never had much trouble with it, and I was about to beat the game, but I got fed up with Lavos' billion different forms, and shut the game off.
@StarBoy Lavos does NOT have only 3 forms. If you go the way I did, (which is the "traditional" way, I think) you have to fight him as he changes forms to emulate every single boss you've fought up until then, and THEN you fight him and THEN you have to get through three more forms. I decided I'd had enough by that point.
Chrono Trigger is a masterpiece IMO, up there with Suikoden II and Final Fantasy 6 as the best JRPG's. It is fairly easy but if a game can ensure me lots of playtime via length and replayability I don't need it to be hard.
I've seen Soulblazer mentioned which I also liked quite a bit, Illusion of Gaia never appealed to me as much though.
It's been a while since I've had a Super Nintendo; my mom gave it away many years ago. But I just bought one again, and I'd like to know what games I should buy for it that aren't Chrono Trigger or Earthbound. I already have KI, SMW, ALttP, and DKC, and I know I'm going to be getting Aladdin, Stunt Race FX, NBA Jam, and SMW2: Yoshi's Island.
I have one laying around here, somewhere. Killer Instinct`s decent. I got that one. NBA Jam, DKC and DKC2, uh Beavis and Butthead, Wheel of Fortune, (dont ask) Super Mario World and Jurassic Park.
I got two Genesis, the Fat and the Slim one. I found them in a old broken down House, with Sonic 2, Sonic Spin Ball, Double Dragon, and Mortal Kombat
