I think I kind of remember that exact spot in A Link To The Past as well... lol

A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.

Hey, if you're going into that, how does Link store everything?

Evil hammerspace...

Someone didn't watch the TV show. All his items shrink real small, and he puts them in a small pouch.

Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

Hammerspace might not be necessary in most games, if the instruction booklet art is to be believed...

How does Link carry all of those items? HE JUST DOES.

Maybe the game engine couldn't handle rendering 999 rupees, so they decided to just show an item when he uses it.

If you're going into item storage logic, then damn you're gonna confuse yourself. Then you have to start considering how characters in, say, RPG parties store hundreds of potions and elixirs, tents, cabins, heavy swords and armor, vehicles, etc.

The most obvious answer is hammer space (or, as I always referred to it, sub-space).

Dear Sega and Nintendo: a Sonichu game would totally rock, make it happen!

i've always just considered him to be carrying all of it, like in Chicken's picture, hence why he can't jump, and why he can hardly make it across hyrule field before nightfall. (the place can't be over 300 yards!)

I also like how Link's iron boots are only heavy when they're on his feet.

I think there are games that use hammerspace, and say so in the game right?

If it doesn't outright mock it, I know that Tales of Monkey Island makes some humorous references to Guybrush's hammerspace pockets.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Only link is that badass.

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.
