One is that I think gaming when you're capable of working a paying job is better when you spend money on games on money you've earned instead from your parents. I've noticed that I tend to not play as much as before and I think it could be due to me having to rely on my relatives on them for the most part. Not to say that the occasional Christmas/birthday presents from other people should not be an enjoyable experience as long as you really want to play the game, just that having to rely on your relatives for games doesn't give me as much of an enjoyable experience as it did previously as a child when you had to rely on your parents to get the games you wanted. That is why I am on a gaming haitus that started on May of this year and will temporary end on November 12, 2010 when I plan to buy Paper Mario with the remaining Wii Points I have.
Another is that I think retro games can be a good way to get your child to experience gaming without having to really spend much money. They will apperciate the past and have memorable experience with them. I'm glad I got to experience the NES/SNES/Game Boy as a child so I can apperaciate retro games and I want to make sure if I have children that they apperciate the classics as well. Not to say that current gen gaming is bad, just that retro gaming could be better economy-wise because if you have a few games you loved as a child that you still have in good condition, you won't have to worry about spending so much money to get your child into a hobby you enjoyed when you were a child as well.
Don't know if this is really unique but... There are certain games that I only like playing at a certain time of day. There are games I only like to play at night. There are games that I prefer to play in the afternoon hours, and there are some games I prefer to play in the morning.

I do that, too, but that's because there are certain games that require a certain level of patience or coordination, which for me varies with the time of day, nutrition, sleep habits, etc. For instance, I really shouldn't and usually won't play Castlevania III first thing in the morning. I'm just not in the mood to handle an annoying difficult task, nor do I have the capacity to handle it properly. Usually I'll play a strategy game or RPG to help wake up my brain without straining my reflexes. There are other examples, too, but I don't need to list them here.
You know now that I think about it. I think the weather/climate has more of an effect on what I'm in the mood to play more than anything else. There are games I only like to play on sunny days. There are games i only really play on rainy or overcast days and even some games I only really play when its snowing.
i dont like people around me when i play my games in fear they will destract me and ill miss something and i have to have a beverage with me mostly mountian dew, water or gatorade i also plan the food im going to eat in between the games i play and i like clean controllers...

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
I am probably one of the few who still remembers the password which takes you to the Protoman fight in Mega Man 3, almost 20 years later
I dunno, i was always quite overly involved into gaming as a hobby. Back then (pre-PlayStation's 'cool-image' era) you were a nerd, and nowadays you're a nerd when you're a non-gamer i guess
I hardly ever finish a game the first time I play through it. Most of the time I'll play up until the last world or right before the final boss, and then I'll create a new save file and start over. I'm really not sure why I do this, but I think it's because I just don't want the game to be over and try to make it last as long as possible. Whatever the reason, I'm trying to stop doing that because it feels kinda pointless. People think I'm weird when I do that, but that doesn't bother me anywhere near as much as the fact that it takes forever for me to finish something and see how it ends.
I don't play MMOs for several reasons, one being that everyone I know who does play them is completely addicted to them and I don't want to end up getting like that, another is that I don't like the idea that a game gets a limited time when you're able to play it. If my old NES games only worked if someone else was playing them at the same time somewhere else in the world, they'd be pretty useless to me now. And a third reason; you usually have to pay a monthly fee for those kinds of games, and maybe I'll pay and then not feel like playing for one reason or another? Bad idea in my case.

I have never started a thread on NL. Maybe I'm scared of dragons and chickens.
