Topic: How unique of a gamer are you?

Does not liking FPS' make you you unique?
'Cause all my friends think that's ridiculous.

@SpriteKing I here you everyone who says FPS's are TOTALLY AWESOME are TOTALLY RIDICULOUS, they also say that Nintendo is kiddy and have no challenge havent tried to 100% FE RD or Tried to Beat SMG2 without dying

They're not my cup of tea either, despite the fact that I like Metroid Prime and I'm looking forward to getting GoldenEye.

Of course, let's prejudice everything.

On topic; I've never really been interested in FPSs. To this day, I wasn't able to force myself through more than 2 hours of Metroid Prime Trilogy. (even though I like Metroid a lot (I'm sure that someday I will finish the game))
In contrary, today I got GoldenEye 007 and I've already played it for 3 hours - enjoying it most of the time.

I do a ritualistic, choreographed dance and sacrifice kittens to my TV before powering on my console.

I'm more of a Platformer guy. I play some RPGs, Fighting Games, and Racers, but I adore playing games like Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mega Man 4, Sonic 2, etc.

I like some FPS (like Halo and the Bond Games), but don't think they're the only good games out there. Plus, they're extremelly overrated.

I'm the only person I know who has all five Ben 10 video games!

I like messing around in games, and attempting to do things I think up. For instance, when I played Paper Mario TTYD, instead of just normally fighting a boss, I decided to charge until I could kill it with one move. Killing the boss took about 12 minutes longer than usual, but I still enjoyed it.

I also like to COMPLETE games, not just BEAT them (no, I do not channel my frustration through physical action). However, if its something like the first Super Mario Galaxy where there is a large, repetitive gap between BEATEN and COMPLETED, then I usually don't go the extra mile. Bottom line: I strive to make at least 90% on any game I am interested in, otherwise I disappoint myself as a gamer.

As for genres of gaming: I enjoy Action, Adventure, Puzzle (Loving my DSi), Platformer, Arcade, Rhythm, Mini/Micro-Games, Racers, and some Sports/Fitness games. I tend to loose interest if a game if it is too realistic and/or filled with uncreative content.
I tend to dislike games like Rock Band/Guitar Hero (I find the mood icky), RPGs (I find them monotonous), ALL Shooters (Most games have enough killing in them), and ALL Horror (Majora's Mask was as much as I could handle and I've only played it for around 20min with a friend).

Oh yeah unique is a good word... lets see.

• I love the NES but dont care too much for SNES and N64 is the best Nintendo system of all time imo
• Diehard Playstation fan because of the incredible third party support and Japanese style gaming fits my gaming perfectly
• I love Galaxy 2 but dont care too much for Galaxy 1
• After screaming for NSMBWii for years I dont like it
• Metroid: Other M controls frustrated me so bad I sold the game halfway though it (and I love Team Ninja)
• I love the Wakeboarding game on Wii Resort
• I cant decide if I like my DSi better than my DS Lite and it frustrates me horribly
• Im still mad that DSi doesnt have VC
• I really hope the 3DS is puke proof because me and 3D dont get along and Im so buying it day one!

@shinesprite I just got the latest one today, its interesting to see people's reactions when I tell them that Ben 10 isn't for a younger sibling/cousin.

I like to make rounds of playing every retro game I love before buying a new game.
I can't find my either copy of Faxanadu, though...

I have never actually beaten a game.

@Waveboy.... Bioshock is either hated or loved. I flippin LOVE it! Sits right at #2 right under Metal Gear Solid 4 on my list of absolute favorite games of all time.
