I'm a 100% completionist as well, which is why I'm not a particular fan of difficult games. I get that games are supposed to be challenging, and I used to have no problem spending hours working on a particular hard spot. But now I barely have time to play games, so if it's taking up too much of my time and I'm not getting anywhere... see ya.
I sometimes wash the controller, too. With antiseptic wipes. I am the Howard Hughes of gaming. Althoutgh I don't keep my pee in a jar on the windowsill, at least not everyday...
I've never really payed any attention to the more advanced things you can do in the Pokemon games...plus, once I've done the story, I either start from scratch again to re-live the story again or I just never play it again...
EV/IV training and breeding are a real bore to me and I just enjoy catching different types of pokemon each time I play through the game.
IDK really, I always go for 100% and on the hardest difficulty, but I end up being awful at it. I still try till the very end though. Reminds me (MUST TRY TO BEAT FIRE EMBLEM RADIANT DAWN ON VERY HARD AND FOR FIRST TIME)

Let me know how many years it takes to get past level 1.

lol. that seems like a recipe for never finishing any game ever.
I tend to like sandboxy-type games like Animal Crossing and more retro 2D platformers. I do play a lot of Mario Galaxy (either one), though. I stay away from first-person shooters because I actually get motion sick. How ridiculous is that? Seriously. I think Goldeneye is the one FPS I've been able to play without getting horribly dizzy and headachy. I also tend not to care about playing online and don't understand why a lot of people disparage Nintendo for not emphasizing it in their games. I don't care to play with people I don't know, usually.
I just don't sell anything unless I really don't want it anymore. Like, I want it out of my site as soon as possible. I've sold a bunch of games recently, but I doubt I'll regret selling a single one of them.
Speaking of which, anyone want a copy of Professor Layton 1?

Yes..... lost my old one...
Thanks for reminding me...someone bought it already. I gotta mail it to him.
@grenworthshero: Hundreds of games + small living space = fail. If I had the space and money to be able to afford to keep all of my games, I probably would. But I don't, so I sell the good but not great ones, with the exception of entries in series I like. I don't think FFXIII is all that great, for example, but it's Final Fantasy, so I'm keeping it.
What's unique about me? I don't think any game is really worth more than $20. Needless to say, I'm not too happy about Nintendo's pricing policy of the last few years....
Moco Loco If you find yourself spiritually drifting (as I was for far too many years), remember that Jesus can and will walk across the water to reach you and bring you back to shore.

let's see: i'm OLD! lol. i have played games since 'pong' came out when i was a kid. when i bought my son 'donkey kong country' for christmas when it first came out, it already had a saved game on it because i played it as soon as i got home (he was in elementary school). i can't play fps as i too get motion sickness from them; same with mario kart.
i love rpgs, don't care about on-line except for FF XI. my kids ended up with just about every system while growing up because i could buy them for them without appearing to indulge myself!! i love platformers.
and the shiny cover on my dsi xl drives me nutz: i am constantly trying to get all the fingerprint smudges off...this one really makes me crazy!!!
