I have a dull grey Wavebird and some gold chrome(not mirror chrome)Spray paint.Do I need to sand the current paint off or is the current surface suitable for spraying over if one wishes to.

Probably hit the post button twice. We need a system that prevents duplicate topics from being posted within a short time frame, if possible. I've seen it on other forums, actually.

I think both Pushsquare and Pure Xbox have a system like that. I think it was those sites that I got a message saying I have to wait 60 seconds to post another message when my mouse was doing that dang double click thing.

They do, but I don't think NL does. Different software and such. Dunno if it could be adapted, but it'd be nice.

I find it odd I guess I should say that Pushsquare and Pure Xbox have alot of features that NL doesn't have yet NL is busier and been around longer. I guess its just hard to upgrade due to the size of NL but then again I am just guessing I don't know that much about web design.

Sorry I don't recall posting it twice.Could be a glitch or something but I really need to know what to do to spray my Gamecube Wavebird controller without it having defects that I can't get rid of.

Well, I think the controller would need to be taken apart first, i.e. remove the shell and just spray paint that. Do do this, I've read, you'd need a tri-wing screwdriver to remove the screws on the back. That's all I “know,” though, sorry!

I've actually already taken it apart and have cleaned and dried the shell so It's ready when I'm ready to spray it but I haven't sanded it yet since I don't know wether I need to.Please someone tell me from experience or has knowledge on the subject.

You don't need to sand it but airbrushing is better than spray paint.

Well I already went ahead and sprayed it.The wind caused some of the bits of kitchen roll to fall onto my controllers at home so I used spirit on my controllers when I got down to my Granda's house sanding it took too long and could damage my wavebird.I'm also doing my friend's Wii Wheel and N64 controller. The controllers are drying as I speak and I'll try to leave it for at least 20 hours in my Granda's Garage.I'll tell you how it turns out.The gold effect is nice from what I've seen already and it feels ok but from what I felt after the suggested time it felt sticky. could just be it drying.

The Paint dried well and feels fine from what I felt.Should've waited the full 24 hours though but not too much damage has been done to the paint job.I need to sort out the circuit board now and fingers crossed it works again. If not then I have two controllers that don't work anymore and lots of money would/will be down the drain.
