Topic: How do I know if my vintage texas instruments Ti-99/4a is working

It turns on and I get a blue screen with prompts - but also different color squares.

I put in a game "the attack" and it went on but didn't look the way it should and wouldn't play.

I am connecting with component cables (new). wanted to post pictures but do not see a way to do that.

Upload your picture there, then copy the one that says "Direct link", and paste it here.

You can either paste it, in which case it will automatically become a web link with a pop out picture,
or if you want to display the picture directly, then use the "image command".

The command looks like this:
[ img ] -paste direct link to picture here- [ / img ]

In the actual command, you have to remove all the spaces I placed in it, to make it work.
