This has been bugging me for a little while. When I was a kid, one time we rented this Genesis game that progressed a little like Castlevania, but instead of a whip you had rings. You could equip two at once (I think, maybe more) and depending on what you had equipped, you could make different combinations of powers. For example (I'm making this up, don't remember the actual combinations), you could use just a fire ring to shoot fireballs, or you could use that fire ring with a wind ring and it would make flame tornadoes, or something.

Anybody have any idea of what I'm talking about?

I might just use this thread to showcase the epic games that SEGA need to release on WiiU & 3DS ;)

I miss Japanese games, the good stuff... Games that are imaginative, have good and unique gameplay, a great soundtrack, and replay value.

Never played or heard of the game tbh. Looks pretty cool and I would snatch that up like a scooby snack if it ever came to VC for sure. Game is pretty cheap on eBay though so I f I ever getting around to adding to my one game Genesis collection (Bloodlines) that would be one. :D

Speaking of forgotten Genesis games, I'd been trying to remember the name of one of my favorites for the better part of a decade and it only came back to me last night:

It's probably been a good 15 years since I last played it, but I remember it being pretty awesome.

It is awesome. I had it as a kid and enjoyed it a lot. Rebought it a few years ago, and I enjoyed it even more, now that I read the manual and know more about what to do. It's a very intricate game, with some really great graphics and level design.

Doesn't talk about games.
