Well, i know this one guy who would give me his NES and all of his game collection for FREE! Now have a spot in my heart for retro games and would love to own them, but my parents won't let him give them to me for the sole reason that they think that they are all old, outdated, and nobody wants them. Please, type something on here to make them understand that the NES is worth having, and most gamers would grab at this opportunity (if they didn't already own one). Tell them how everyone likes to go back in time and play old school games sometimes! I mean come on! its FREE!
You'd be looking a gift horse in the mouth if you didn't take em, tell your parents that they will probably be worth more than when they were new in about 15 years time plus there's some great games on the NES.If they still won't let you have it you can always send it to me
I had a similar predicament with a friend of mine as well. He was going to give me his old N64 games, but his parents wouldn't let him do that because they felt they were outdated and no one wanted them. Though considering they're N64 games, which are pretty worthless by today's standards, they were kinda right.
Try explaining to your parents that the NES is the most legendary console of all time, and many of it's games are highly valuable classics. Many gamers would dream of an offer like that. It's pretty ridiculous how they won't let you have all that stuff even if it's free...

obviously, you want them, right? lol... seriously, maybe you could tell your parents it's a free investment? I mean, people re-sell refurbed NESs all the time, and old cartridges, depending on how rare they are, can go for decent prices.

That's like saying that the music they listened to in the 70's and 80's is old and nobody wants them. It is an untrue statement in every way. Half of the music today is music from the past, and that also applies to video games. I personally have never had this problem, since my dad forced me to play retro games at the age of 1.

Your parents not allowing you this free stuff is like asking them if they could stop terrorism. They reply "yes we could stop terrorism", but they don't, because "we think it is the very nature of our existence..." Now that would be very idiotic of them...
