It's perfect RGB out with no need for a converter or upscaler unless you want to do HDMI which I don't. less boxes, less plugs, same image.
It cleans up the fuzzies and provides better colors. We just have to wait for the dudes to finish production. I'm surprised that Nintendo didn't release an RGB cable in North America. It was just component.
What exactly does it do? Do you use this for an HDTV to get a better picture from your retro consoles?
It looks to be the an alternative to using Scart RGB (useful if your country doesn't support Scart RGB). Most HDTV will have a component cable (an analogue connection that has Red, Green & Blue for Video and Red and White for audio). basically, because the Red, Green and Blue are sent as separate signals, you get a clearer image.
That would be perfect for my N64 and GameCube. I hope it's cheap to purchase.
The N64 doesn't support RGB, so this cable won't work, unless you modify the console. RGB is only supported on PAL consoles, so this cable will be useless on NTSC models.
