Topic: Hardest level in Ninja Gaiden NES?

Well, I've not played much of it, but 2-2 is intense!

The first Ninja Gaiden on the NES? I'm stuck in the fifth stage (the farthest I've ever gone in an 8-bit Ninja Gaiden title); I'm having a hard time defeating the Black Malth.

2-2?

Really?

If you think that is difficult, you are doomed.

6-2.

Pretty much the only way I've beaten him is to purposely die on the screen beforehand, not get hit by the easily avoidable enemies, go to the next room, have the cutscene, and then hit the boss with your sword over and over until he dies before he kills you.

6-1 or so ive heard im only at 2-1

The stage where Bloody Malth was the boss I remember that years ago my friend and I couldnt even beat that stage with a Game Genie lol.

6-2 by far! That level is an absolute gaming nightmare!

ENEMY APPEARS ON SCREEN. HIT BY ENEMY. FALL DOWN PIT. RINSE REPEAT, HIT TV.

In my first couple of playthroughs, 6-2 was definitely the hardest stage in the game. As I kept going through the last few stages to get to the final boss though, I started to get really good at all the stages of level 6 and can pretty much do them without dying (although the last jolt to get to the final boss always robs me of half of my health or more). Now, I think the level 5 stages are the hardest to do, especially at that jump on 5-2 where you have to stick to the wall and slowly fall down until your lined up with ledge near the bottom of the screen, all while a bird keeps reaming into you. Ah! I hate it!
