Interesting article although the controller part left me scratching my head a bit. I could have sworn that the six button controller came out after the SNES controller. I remember playing the Genesis with the three button controller. Saying that they had the better controller and showing the six button one is kinda of confusing.

It was a sad, sad day when my Sega Genesis stopped working; I'd played by dad's NES a great deal, but the Genesis was the first system that was my own.
USGamer's Jeremy Parish did a great little retrospective on the Genesis/Mega Drive last week.

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.

Loved this console. Man, I should've hooked mine up to celebrate, but I keep confusing the Genny release date with the Sonic release date.
Doesn't talk about games.
