Tough one that, if I really had to choose I'd say:
Super Smash Brothers Melee Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Metroid Prime
But Viewtiful Joe, Burnout 1&2, Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil Zero, 1 and 4, Super Mario Sunshine, F-Zero GX, Extreme G III, Wave Race: Blue Storm, SImpsons: Hit and Run, Time Splitters 2, XIII, Beyond Good and Evil, Soul Calibur II, Metroid Prime 2, Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2, Ikaruga, Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, Battalion Wars, Rogue Leader, Pikmin 1 & 2, Prince of Persia and Luigi's Mansion are equally essential imo.
First you get the sugar, then you get the power, then you get the women.
F-Zero GX Super Smash Bros Melee Mario Smash Football
I still have F-Zero GX but im planing of getting Sonic Gems Collection,Mario Smash Football and Bloody Roar Primal Fury (My Favourite Game for Gamecube)

"To be this good takes AGES, to be this good takes SEGA".
Pikmin Mario Sunshine Twilight Princess - I was shocked when they did indeed release it for GC I was sure they would make it Wii exclusive - and I did not get a wii for a while, so kudos!
IGN: The holiday Wii lineup looks thin for the hardcore crowd. We see this. Gamers see this. What, if anything, is Nintendo planning to address it?
Oh good, I am neither a gamer or hardcore. Saves me from having to be IGNorant. Right, Down, A, Down, Right, Up
Metroid Prime Tales of Symphonia Super Smash Bros. Melee
And a bunch of other games that deserve to be in.
Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
I didn't get a GC until late in its life cycle, but here's the games I had the most fun with:
1st party: (nintendo published): Mario Sunshine, Zelda Wind Waker, Metroid Prime (no surprises here) 3rd party: Tomb Raider Legend (prob the best TR ever) Star Wars Rogue Leader (still my fave SW shooting game, never gets old for me) Harvest Moon: Wonderful Life (ok don't flame me, I just like HM games, ok?)
honourable mentions go out to: Prince of Persia Sands of Time, SF Assault, X-Men Legends,
