I'm thinking about buying some Genesis for my Sega genesis I already own these games
Sonic 1 Sonic 2 Sonic 3D blast Ren and Stimpy Rambo III Mortal Kombat 1 Vector man Altered Beast Super hang on The Lion King MS Pac-man and some others.

This account is dead move along please.

as many of the streets of rage and golden axe games you can get. you also could do with a copy of gunstar heros.

Earthworm Jim 1 AND 2.

Now you are set for life.

Road Rash II, Vectorman 2 if you liked vectorman1 at all, Sonic 3 & Sonic and Knuckles and play with lockon technology that's not on the VC. Those would be the crucial buys along with what the others said.

If you can find one for cheap, I'd also recommend a Sega CD addon for Sonic CD (best 2D Sonic game) and Lunar.

Glad to see you have Ms. Pacman since the Genesis version is the best version IMO

Check these games out
Super Monaco GP 1 and 2
Vectorman 1 and 2
Kid Chamelon
Trouble Shooter
Ecco the Dolphin
X-Men 1 and 2
Road Rash 3
Any Sega Sports title (NFL football 94 and World Series Baseball are two of the best)
Super Off-Road
Double Dragon (hard to find but good arcade port)

As far as I know, you can import games for the MegaDrive with no problem. No region cables required.

Ecco Jr. is underrated, but I don't know if you'd like that "educational" type of stuff.
Gunstar Heroes, now that's a game to try!
Ristar is also underrated, with some charm and personality.
Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure borders on great.
Road Rash series are good, but I'd suggest trying 2, because it's the best of the three MD titles.
Sonic 2 is the best Sonic title available for the console, imvho.
Sonic 3D Blast is decent, but I believe you'll have fun with it.
Shinobi III is the best ninja game ever made for the MegaDrive, and it's got neat music to go along with it.

There are so many more to name, but these are the ones I'd suggest giving a try.

Marvel Land, a great platformer by Namco. Very fun, underrated. _

Shadowrun is pretty legendary in my opinion.

I agree with all those choices but Batman Forever, castle. I thought it was horrible, imo.

Altered Beast I'd go without. It's a bit bland and has terribly aged.

Shinobi III, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Gunstar Heroes, Comix Zone, Earthworm Jim 1&2, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Sub Terrania, Toejam and Earl, and Ristar. Especially Shinobi.
