When I was playing Megaman 3, I entered the Spark Man stage and Mega Man got stuck while he was teleporting to the stage. (you probably know what I meant) I'm not sure why that happened, but as far as I remember, I was holding down some buttons. (not on the second player controller) BTW I was playing the PAL version.

In Super Mario Bros. 2, I was going to use a warp pipe to a world, but I made the door appear in midair, so it was impossible for me to enter the door.

Not so much a glitch so much as an enigma that constantly blows my mind whenever it happens:
When you defeat the final boss of Star Parodier in the Normal Game, you'll notice on the lower right hand corner that you somehow receive an extra ten lives. It's not something that happens "every once in a while", it happens every single time! What really is confusing me is: why in the starworld do you receive an extra ten lives after defeating the final boss, when after that you see the ending sequence, no longer shooting at enemies?
Now, as for the actual glitch:
I once played the 5-Minute Stage in Battle Stage mode of Star Parodier as PC-Engine. I went up to the last boss in that mode, and what happened was: I managed to defeat him, but simultaneously he defeated me. I had no hearts, so I had to start halfway there: but (to my surprise) the timer stopped moving, and I could take as long as I could. It only happened once, but because of that I managed to make the highest possible score in the 5-Minute Stage that I don't think I'll ever be able to beat (because I don't think I can ever duplicate that glitch again).
I absolutely love Star Parodier, but I felt like bringing up these two things.

I got a lame one, wasn't so much so back in the 8bit era, but would be now. Fire up SMB2 yeah...mario. I believe it was world1-1 of all things (if not it was 1-2 I forget.) Either way describing the area, you end up going into a hill, working through a cave by some ninji guys and popping out a door up top. Up there you can run to the far left with a snifit who opens fire, and by him is a root with a bottle (for subcon.) Now if you take this back to by the door you popped out, normally you can get a mushroom. Now if you do it in the right spot near the weeds on the ground, while picking, if you pick at the very last second before you're kicked out, your COIN will pop up as usual, but flies back into real time and sits up on the very corner of the hill top ledge by that door you originally exited. The point? It's a free coin...that's it, nothing more, and the best is if you rock at the slot machine you can bag another 3 lives (or was it 5?) I found that years ago before SMB3 existed goofing off as I saw how they popped and lucked into it, and those few extra lives helped when learning the game so it was worth it. I wrote it in with a pic to NP mag in the day, it never got printed.

Mine happened in James Cameron's Avatar for the Wii. When I was battling a RDA Mech for the first time, I died then returned to that same spot from a checkpoint about 3 minutes away. Instead of there being a large box-filled arena, there was a metal balcony that stretched out quite a ways, showcasing a floating island and the turquoise sky. I tried to jump off it, but halfway to the ledge, I fell straight through. In disappointment, I restarted and came back. There it was again. Actually, I traded it in for a used copy of Super Paper Mario, so that satisfied me.

On Death Mountain, in twilight princess, I was up against the metal across from the hot spring when two gorons came rolling at me. Link went into his stance to catch them but the first on stopped about 10 feet away and the second 10 feet behind him. I was stuck walking in circles around the first and he was able to punch me.

I used to always fall through the ground on Vice City for the PS2. I was driving through the streets, I fall through the ground, and appear on top of a building. Still, such a great game, though.

Once when me and my friend were playing DK64, we were on the menu, and the game froze for no reason. Then, just before I turned it off, a loud banging sound came from the game and a small gray "hole" if you will appeared in the trees (the background for the menus) followed by another, and another, and another. It kept going until eventually I decided to turn it off incase it broke the game. By the time I hit the power switch, there were about a dozen gray circles, which almost looked like bullet holes from Goldeneye, in the trees. It was really weird.

Another time, I was playing Bully Scholarship Edition on Wii, and I went to Shop Class. The game was going perfectly fine, but when I entered Shop Class the game made a weird sound, and when the room loaded it was just a pink and white "void". It looked like pink clouds, and every character was just standing perfectly straight with their arms stretched out. It went through the entire class like this.

And just a few days ago I was playing Pilotwings on my SNES, and I had just gotten to the bonus stage where you have to land the penguin into the pool. I was just about to hit the small pool (worth 70 points, I think) and the game suddenly froze with the penguin facing the sun and the Light Plane music playing. I reset, and hit start and the game froze again, with the usual jumbled mess of pixels that most glitches have, but for some reason the Helicopter Mission music was playing.

There's also some I know of that can be done at will, such as the "fall through Deflino Island" glitch in SMSS, the "ditch Navi" glitch in OoT, the "Zombie DK" glitch in DKC and the "play as Masterhand" glitch in SSBM. I also discovered one I named "The Slip and Slide" glitch in Kirby Air Ride. If you jump ever so precisely on the right or left edge of one of the ramps (I think the one next to the star tower) kirby will begin sliding down it, and will continue sliding across the city until you jump. If you are hit by an Air Ride (Hydra, for example) kirby will go flying as normal, but when he hits the ground he'll be on his side spinning and you will not be able to move him.

EDIT: Also, once when playing Dead Rising on Infinite Mode, I was in the maintenance tunnels and I was being grabbed by a zombie, with only one health block left and, like, a centimeter on the "hunger bar" (the little yellow bar below your health on infinite mode). JUST as I got away from the zombie, the bar emptied and I "died". Except, I was fine. Frank continued on as normal with no health. All the zombies lost interest in Frank. They'd crowd him but they couldn't hurt him. I was also unable to use my camera, map or pause. And I was unable to interact with anything or pick up any items. It was fun to just run around with an army of zombies following me, but unable to eat me.

Something similar happened on Lego Star Wars 2 (or 1, I dunno). I was on the speeder level, I had one heart left and I got hit JUST as the guy who hit me was shot by my friend, activating a cutscene. When the cutscene was over and we were on our way, I had no health and could not be killed. It stayed like that throughout the rest of the level.

EDIT 2: Last one, I swear A long time ago when I was playing Ocarina of Time, I was in the ice temple part of Ganons Tower. I was out of arrows so I began hookshotting the keese. I had literally JUST pressed the button the longshot was assigned to when I paused and switched to a bottle, unpaused and VERY QUICKLY hit the same button, catching some blue flame. As Link held the bottle up, the hookshot was still going, and after the scene was over it went away. I paused to switch back to my hookshot only to realize ... it was replaced with another bottle, containing blue flame. At the time, no one in my family knew how to get the fourth bottle. Well, I had obtained it ... at the price of my hookshot, that is.

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

Once when I was playing Mega Man 3 (the cart, not VC) I entered Gemini Man's room and after a few seconds, he disappeared! The boss music was still playing, but Gemini Man was nowhere to be found. I tried shooting around blindly, but he wasn't invisible, he was completely gone. I had to reset the game because I obviously couldn't continue playing.

In Majora's Mask, there's a glitch I found in South Clock Town that involves the Hookshot, the chest containing 20 Rupees, and the carpenter that walks around the top of the tower on day 3. If you fire the Hookshot at the 20 Rupee chest while standing on the edge of the tower just as the Carpenter is about to walk past, he will push you and cause you to hang on the edge. Meanwhile, the Hookshot will hook on to the chest, but you will not be pulled over there. Instead, you will continue hanging off the edge and the Hookshot will stay extended until you either pull yourself up or fall off. When you do either of those things, you will be pulled toward the chest backwards and sometimes sideways.

Also on Majora's Mask, if you get an arrow ready (don't fire it), then Z-Target someone and talk to them, Link will put the bow away but the arrow will stay suspended in midair. After the conversation ends, the arrow will disappear.

It is possible to be Fierce Deity outside of Boss rooms WITHOUT using a cheating device, which is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIcyxJuzqZg I have tried this and it does work, and it's kind of fun to play around with. There's all kinds of glitchy things to be found when you run around as Fierce Deity. Talking to certain people will freeze the game, and some conversations will not end no matter how many times you press the A button. You can also get into a few odd situations because of Fierce Deity Link's size.

Beep.
That is all.
