Is there any reason why Chrono Trigger isn't on VC?

Okami on Wii. My wife bought the game as a Christmas present two and a half years ago. I played for an hour or maybe two, then set it down and never returned to the game. Okami is a game that I really want to enjoy, and one that I wouldn't trade or sell... but the "right time" to settle in for this lengthy adventure just hasn't arrived yet..
I played it for 8 hours or so, then some other game got my attention. Not gone back to Okami since, but I want to, just for the same reason of needing the time to settle into such a lengthy game that I havn't played it again.
Which leads me to a game that I have played, but wish I'd played more and even completed: Ocarina of Time. At least five times I've done the first 2-3 dungeons, and once got as far as finishing the Forest Temple (first temple when Adult Link). I intended to play and complete it this summer, but looks like I wont get the time :/

Perhaps it's due to the fact that there's a DS version on the market that isn't a dramatic remake (meaning it's true to the original and not enhanced to an extreme like Super Mario 64 DS and Kirby Super Star Ultra). But now that you mention it, the DS version isn't that common anymore, so there isn't a good reason why Chrono Trigger isn't on Virtual Console. Still waiting for Final Fantasy VI, too!
I'm back (for the moment)!

I rented Okami, and the same thing happened. I got maybe an hour in, then just quit. I was just not in the mood...

No idea, I actually have it for the DS. Haven't played it yet. And the hilarious thing is I'm not a fan of RPG's, but the fact that it's supposed to be one of the greatest games of all time, has Dragon Ball-like Art style and the low price tag forced me to get it hehe.

There are no games that I'm "embarrassed" that I haven't played. Most the games I've missed out on are because of financial reasons. Happens when you become an adult and have to start paying for your own stuff. Outside of the handheld market I've never played any of the current gen systems (wii, xbox 360, and PS3) and until I get a better paying job I don't think that will change, hell, they'll probably release the next console before I get one of the above since it seems I'm always one step behind on the current console market. Plus gaming isn't my number one form of entertainment or hobby, so the money I do bring in and have left over after paying bills goes to other stuff first before video games. I tend to only spend my money on games when I find a good deal and can get something cheap.

Since I didn't get into console gaming until I bought a GCN, there are tons of things I haven't played. As long as I have a fun game to play when I'm in the mood, I'm not too worried about playing all the great games that I missed. Some of them, yes, but not all of them. No matter how long you have been playing games, there will always be something worthwhile you haven't played.

I have never owned a held gaming device but I'm not embarrassed about it, it's just never been my thing, I have played a few but never went out and got one.

Ocarina of Time is the only one I can think of. It's even worse because my brother has the original cartridge and our N64 still works. I really need to play it x_x
