Banjo-Kazooie Grunty's Revenge (GBA) I bet none of you have heard of this game. I only knew about it when I went into an Office Depot and saw it sealed and wished I had enough money to buy it. I got it later for my birthday, but only the cartridge. It is really fun.

I haven't played all these games yet, I do own them. but can tell they look like they are gems awaiting.
As a kid, I had the NES, then wanted a SNES but got a Genesis! After a couple years I bought myself a SNES but it had already been later in the systems life so I didn't bother trying to track down the good games for the system. As for the N64, was one of the first to have one and it came with SM64. I was growing out of kid into a teenager and wanted more adult games. So I went PS1 with games like Twisted Metal, Red Asphalt, Resident Evil so Nintendo dropped off my radar. Also started my PC love affair after 3Dfx hit shelves, oh sweet memories!
Pretty much anything before the N64 generation, because I was only 4 when N64 came out and got that and the Game Boy Color in subsequent years, so I was "up" on gaming for the most part, but I missed everything before that(When it was new). My first system was a Nintendo, and my grandpa had an SNES, so I wad alot to play actually, but it wasn't new anymore compared to N64 which was still being released.

Ya I saw that too, and was thinking of getting it... before the DSi came out, I was having dreams(or nightmares, whatever) that I kept seeing it there.
Hmm that's hard because I've been playing games since the Atari. I did completely miss the PS2 though and I didn't buy a Gamecube until last year. I do wish I played Metroid Prime when it came out even though it was still amazing all this time later. A lot of the other Cube games are awesome too and some would have been more stunning years ago.
I have a huge list of games I wish I'd known about when I was little. @StarFox - actually, the Nintendo 64 came out in 1996.
Ya, thats why I'm 18, not 17 Ya fun times with Banjo-Kazooie and other bada** games. I still remember watching that tape that showed off Banjo-Kazooie, and it made me want an N64 like crazy in 1998, Then I got one with the DK64 bundle.
Phoenix Wright. Its not that I didn't know about it, I just wished I had gotten into the series much earlier. It still feels completely fresh to me, even on WiiWare.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Pretty good game indeed. I actually picked that game up a few weeks after it first released. (I was and still am a huge Banjo fan.)
As for games I wish I had known about, I simply buy them used. I still own all of my consoles, so I can still play anything that I may have missed. I guess I would have liked to have known about and played more of the online Dreamcast games. I pretty much stuck to UT and Q3A, so I missed out on a lot of fun. Online multiplayer games are the one kind of games that I cannot buy and fully enjoy nowadays.
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. I think I'd heard something about a Mario & Luigi game back then, but didn't really know what it was, and I recently swiped a used copy from Amazon, and it is delightful.
I also wish that as gamers in English-speaking countries, we hadn't been kept in the dark about the Final Fantasies on NES and SNES that didn't come here until years later. I'm glad we have the full Nintendo era available now, but it's still frustrating.
