Topic: GameCube Games You Love...But Others Don't

You know, me bringing up a topic like can only mean one thing. ... Yeah, I got nothing either.

  • Well, I thought Disney's Magical Mirror starring Mickey Mouse was a great GameCube game, despite being easy and being a point and click game with no mouse. I thought it to be very entertaining, but it may not be for everyone I fear.
  • The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning is a decent game, but the outlandish lag that happens every now and then almost killed it for me. I thought to be nice, but was disappointed that it was linear unlike the other Spyro games, and the story was clearly inspired in part by that of Eragon's. The graphics were beautiful, and the soundtrack was John Williams-quality.

Any game you like for the GC, but feel others may not?

@cheetah - People hate that game? Huh! Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised; it's a very nice game, but it's very easy and short to beat. At least the songs more than make up for its longevity.

Super Mario Sunshine. It is a great game, one of the best Mario games, but I have seen many people bash it for no reason.

@cheetah - That games rocks, I never owned it, but its awesome.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

StarBoy91

@RandomWiiPlayer - I guess the reason people lambast Super Mario Sunshine is because they compare it to Super Mario 64, a lot (for better or worse). I don't care what game sold best, both are good games.

Pikmin 1 & 2

If you don't own them already, get the Wii versions NOW!

I think most people liked Pikmin...
As for Super Mario Sunshine, it is a great game, but FLUDD just messed things up. Mario's about timing your jumps, Fludd takes all that away. Despite this, it is a fun game. Not as good as some others though.

Star Fox Assault.
I mean, after the series went to the Adventure game, you have to admit that it is good to see Fox doing what he does best again! And even what on-foot segments it has are very fun! And it's cool how you can alternate between vehicles! And I thought the characters' voices were the best of all SF games to date!

Basically, the game is very good! Most GCN games were either great or not as good as their predecessors but still great! At worst, Star Fox Assault is probably the latter! But I think it is quite under appreciated!

P.N.03 & Geist haven't got the best reputations, but they are two of my faves. Sunshine has many haters, yet I thought it was awesome. Erm... I'm sure there's more

I love Geist and Star Wars Bounty Hunter, that most people use to hate.

Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Star Fox Adventures, Star Fox: Assault, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders, Shadow the Hedgehog, Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat

A couple of these are a bit of a stretch, but for the most part, I think they're all better games than a lot of people have made them out to be.

And I'm sure there's more...

I liked Star Wars Bounty Hunter. It's my favourite Star Wars game on the Gamecube! Jetpacks rule.

And Starfox Assault is great because it expands on Lylat Wars (Starfox 64) great multiplayer!

I also liked Geist a lot. I loved the actual ghost adventure parts. I'm at the final boss. Need to beat him already!

I never could really enjoy The Legend of Zelda: Four Sword Adventures and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. I always wanted to, but I couldn't borrow all those GBA's from these little kids for me and my friends to play, so like most people with not enough GBA's around we were doomed to play a decent single player experience or could only play a 2-or-3-GBA-connection at best. However, it did not work for us.

I have to add "WarioWare Inc. - Mega Party Game$", the best WarioWare game to date.
About 250 minigames that are all replayable for highscore hunting (unlike the Wii version that was changed for worse)

I have a flower on all 250 games and some of those mini games were so addicting all my friends wanted to play it.
It's definately part of the best Gamecube games that no one talks about. It should be more popular.
The DS, DSi, GBA and Wii versions just have no replay value. The Gamecube WarioWare version has plenty because of its cool competition design.

Kirby Air Ride, of course! How could I've forgotten that fun behind the view racer that was initially supposed to be on the Nintendo 64 in 1996/1997 but was instead put on the Nintendo GameCube in 2003 when I first made this thread? Good times, me and my cousins loved it back then.

This. Everything you just said. Also theres Star Wars Bounty Hunter, which I forgot didn't do too well, but it was great. There were a lot of flaws in the gameplay, but the story was great and it was a lot of fun. Star Fox Adventures was also great game, I thought

@MickeyMac how could anyone hate Echoes? That's one of the best fps's Nintendo has ever had.

A good signature doesn't need fancy pictures or drawings, just heart.

I'll bet Kirby Air Ride would've looked wonderful on the Nintendo 64. :3
But, this isn't about the Nintendo 64, but the GameCube. My second console, after the PlayStation.

Disney's Magical Mirror starring Mickey Mouse is still the number one GameCube game I'm most fond of of the three I've mentioned. :3
