Topic: GameBoy Retail Display Cabinet

I have a Retail Display Cabinet for the original GameBoy. It’s one of those stands that used to sit in your local Dixons type store and had loads of kids around it at school lunchtimes. It’s about two feet tall and about one foot square. The GameBoy sits in a front recess. It’s mains powered, has a power supply for the GameBoy, stereo speakers (I can’t remember if the GameBoy was stereo so it might be mono, but it has two speakers), and an illuminated sign which also illuminates the Game Boy.

It’s in my garage at the moment behind a load of boxes, but when I get time I’ll get some pictures posted. It might bring back some happy memories of school-day lunch hours!

I don’t know what to do with it. It’s taking up space and I want to sell it, I guess ebay is the place but is there any specialists who might be interested. I have no idea if it’s worth anything or not. Any ideas?

Thanks,
MFL

You would probably find interested buyers at Racketboy.com - they have a pretty strong retro community buying and selling stuff. But eBay is still the best bet to maximize your value... so maybe it's better to list there and just let people from the Racketboy website know it's posted? (GoNintendo.com also highlights interesting nintendo-related eBay sales from time to time, so this might be something worth shooting their way in case it draws any additional attention to the auction.)
