Hi all I'm new here and wondering if you can help me out a little.

I've just bought a Game Boy Micro and I love the system but it has one annoying flaw - the 'a' button needs to be pressed much harder than it should be to register the press! Its ruining my attempts to play Sonic advance.

Is this as simple as opening it up and cleaning it or something else?

Thanks

could be as simple as opening it up to clean the buttons or trying to find a replacement for the rubber membrane, i replaced all of my old controller membranes, however, locating a gbm one will be a little tough:

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

Hi,

Thank you for a great link very detailed and with clear pictures

Unfortunately I can't find my Tri-wing screwdriver to open it up now (I bought a set of the Tri-wing + 2 different sized Nintendo gamebits a while back) so have ordered another one. Hopefully have it in a few days.

Really hope a clean out will do it since its not easy to get hold of parts for a Micro as you say

Thanks again

Hi again.

Got the tri-wing screwdriver today but despite being advertised for Game Boy Micro its too big for the screws!

Any idea where to get a proper sized one in the UK?
