I actually haven't played this yet! At least not for more than a couple of hours. I've had other things to play, so while I keep meaning to go back to this (it'll be my third Fire Emblem game) I haven't yet.

Maybe after Bravely Default. I just entered Chapter 5 so I think I'm nearing the end.

I did it on the 3DS.
It's super easy.
How are you doing it?
Are you soft resetting or hard resetting?

Do you hard reset? I might have saved gone past that part already now (was just going to give it to Myrrh and the Healers).

My first FE game ever played back on the GBA loved every moment of it.

I soft reset.
You can still get monster weapons and repair Myrrh's Dragonstone if you do a skirmish of Nerlas Peak.

Dolza is freaking awesome.

Great game, as all FE games are, but I felt it was a step down from FE7 as far as characters and storytelling goes. The few gameplay perks that it added were nice though, and it's a shame that they were dropped for Path of Radiance. It was nice to see them back in Awakening.

I think it's Chapter 19 though, the one where you have to defend for 13 turns against Riev, is possibly my absolute favorite chapter in any Fire Emblem game to date. So intense.

My party of 8 for the final chapter is usually includes Eirika, Ephraim, Tethys, one healer (usually L'Arachel), a tank (usually Amelia), a magic-user (Lute or Ewan), someone with high Str (Ross or Gerik), and a flier (I prefer pegasus knights over wyverns). Up to that point where you have more units available, I'm also using Joshua, Kyle, an extra flier, and an extra healer.

Sometimes I like themed parties too, such as only characters from a certain region, only a certain type of class, etc.

On my last playthrough I had some Dragonstone leftover after maxing Myrrh's level so I threw her in my endgame party. Got a crit and one-hit the boss. That was... anticlimactic.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

Hmmm.. How many units can one hit the final boss?
I know the following can: Myrrh (Dragonstone), Vannesa/Tana/Cormag (Wyvern Knight with Vidofnir while activating the pierce skill).

I think it's super easy, even on hard.

By endgame on my first playthrough, Joshua was easily my favorite. I think I got his critical rate above 50.

The only chapter that was tough for me was in the one where you have to save the 3 villagers before they get eating by the spider. Took me awhile to save all of them to get Orion's Belt.

This was the hardest chapter IMO.

I just used Vanessa to fly Eirika over and used Myrrh to take out the boss.
