Topic: Final Fantasy VI vs. Chrono Trigger

Which do you feel is superior?

Personally, it's extremely hard to decide. I feel that FFVI has a slightly more fleshed-out cast (and a bigger one, too!) and a slightly more intense and serious plotline, while CT has some better gameplay features (No random encounters!) and more memorable music. I think I'd say FFVI for now, but seeing as I haven't completed either yet, my decision might change.

Chrono Trigger is the BETTER GAME!

As for which is the BETTER RPG, that's hard to say.
Maybe Chrono Trigger.

I'll say they're both overrated, but Chrono Trigger is probably the better game. Hard to judge.

I prefer Final Fantasy IV as the best Final Fantasy Game so Final Fantasy VI kinda thought it was to long but still a great game, Chrono Trigger for me at least is a perfect package when it comes to wanting a RPG game that can suck you in for 100+ hours, the only other RPG that also got me in a 100+ is the Pokemon Version series. So Chrono Trigger is my Choice of the Two.

Hard to say. I haven't played much of FF6 (maybe a couple hours in). I'm around 10 hours into Chrono Trigger, and I keep getting annoyed/bored with it. Honestly I enjoy Final Fantasy 4 more than either of these, despite its flaws. I put over 10 hours into it within a few days, whereas it took me a few months to do so in Chrono Trigger.

Chrono Trigger is the greatest RPG ever crafted by human hands, IMO. Still better than anything else out there.

This is like asking us to compare Final Fantasy VIII and Chrono Cross. I really couldn't decide, they both have their strengths in different areas.

(Imma let you finish, but Chrono Cross is one of my favourite RPGs of all time!)

Simple: Chrono Trigger.

#1 and #2 on my RPG list, so I don't really like to compare them, I love them both.

Final Fantasy VI.

Both games are undoubtedly the greatest RPGs of their generation and among the best ever. It's hard to come up with a really compelling reason why I should like one over the other though I just feel I enjoy FF6 more for its story and characters.

Chrono Trigger by a narrow margin. FFVI is my favorite of that entire series, though. I also love Chrono Cross (the game).
