Topic: favourite classic consoles

here's mine:

neo geo - some really good games for the system but let down by the expensive price tag

i don't have much experience with the gameboy color. it must've had some really cool games for it.

The Genesis, by far. Followed by the PSOne (some of the best RPGs were on that system).

Hold on, if the Gamecube counts, I'm changing mine to the PS2. Best console ever, man.

i based the consoles in order of preference for fav nintendo and sega consoles. however, if this was all round, it would be:

PS2 is my favourite console as well but it is not retro yet so I choose PSone. Great console, some of the best rpg games ever made.

For Ninty I choose GBA. It had a perfect selection of games and was GB/GBC compatible. As for SEGA my vote goes to the Game Gear.

Also even though I've never even seen one IRL, thanks to the VC the TG-16 gets a special mention thanks to the awesome SHUMUP's on that system.

@misswliu81 The best part about the Game Boy Color is that it had Game Boy built into it, except the original Game Boy games were in some sort of color. But, in my opinion, the GBC was good mainly because of the Game Boy's huge existing library.

I stand by my assertion that the Virtual Boy is a good system and does not melt your eyes out or make your head blow up.

it was good that you were able to play your gameboy games on the GBC. that was a plus point for the system.
