Do you really like one of those games that everybody picks? Or do you find much enjoyment out of Digital Pictures classics such as Night Trap or Sewer Shark? Or is it something in between? Whatever it is, what is your favorite Sega CD game?

As for me, my favorite is Snatcher.

I never played to many of the Sega CD games even though I owned one but my favorites were

1. Final Fight CD (This one I found was even better then the Arcade version)
2. Sonic CD
3. Mortal Kombat (Buy far the best home port of the game)
4. NBA Jam
5. Brutal: Paws of Fury

Honorable mention: Earthworm Jim

I would say :
Sonic CD (for It's soundtrack (US version) and the graphics)
Final Fight CD (definite port of the arcade with top notch music)
Terminator CD (One of the best movie licensed games IMO)
Popful mail (great Side scroller with some decent voice work)

My favourite is definately Snatcher - a true classic. I'm also fond of Sonic CD (UK version for the record), Final Fight CD and Keio Flying Squadron. Actually I get a kick out of most games for the machine - the FMV games are certainly interesting and define the early CD era.

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

The only one I've ever played is Sonic CD (from a GameCube compilation), so I guess that has to be my favorite.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Sonic CD is one of the most beautiful things ever put on a CD. Shining Force CD is good too, but other than Sonic the game I've played most of is Prince of Persia. Really good version, I think.

Sonic CD by far, most of the rest I played was stuff you could play on the mega drive too like Mickey Mania, Mortal Kombat and Chuck Rock etc, also Road Avenger was pretty good considering it was an FMV game great intro.

How do you play that game? I'm missing the manual and have no clue what I'm doing.

I did a google search on the instruction manual. I would post the link but the coding of it won't allow me to put it here. Just do a google search for "Dark Wizard Instructions" and it's the 6th one down. It's a pdf document - you have to zoom in a bit to see it. It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing. Once you discover what you are doing, the game is a blast! By far my fav game on the Sega CD. Heck, it's probably my fav strat-RPG of all time. G'luck!

I had a bunch of games for Sega CD (most of them pretty bad) that I played very sparingly, but the one that most stands out in my memory is Eternal Champions: Challenge from the Dark Side.

I haven't played it in a good 15 years, so I couldn't tell you if it's any good or not, but I definitely played it more than all of the others combined. Probably because it was one of the few Sega CD games I owned that recognizably looked and played like an actual video game, and not like an FMV-fueled nightmare. Plus, you could punch a pharaoh in the face. So there's that too.
