Of course, I first have to say how much I love the Donkey Kong Country series. DKC and DKC2 were my first and only Donkey Kong games until I got a Wii. They are why I ended up downloading DKC3. They are classics.
I'm also liking Donkey Kong 64, but it is a bit of a wanderfest. I should consult a walkthrough sometime.
I am loving Banjo Kazooie now that I have the 360 version. It's a lot of fun.
Finally, I am one of the few who actually appreciate Star Fox Adventures. It's a fun game, but would've been more appropriate in its original form. It would be a bit awkward for diehard Star fox fans to switch to (try beating all the Zelda games, with AoL last).

Rare has made so many good games. As much as I love them, my only regret with the original Donkey Kong Country games is that DK takes the back seat. This was repaired in DK64 because he was the best character by far with his awesome roll attack, especially with multiplayer.
And as awesome as Goldeneye is, Rare's pinnacle is perfect dark. The awesome combination of laptop gun sentry, dragon set to proximity and using the super dragon is just way to cool and so beats every other game!
Conker's Bad Fur Day was probably my favourite as it was great for both single and multi-player. Perfect Dark was like goldeneye was to multi-player; just more awesome. Banjo Tooie I always favoured over Kazooie, partly because I found the world more enjoyable. DKC was just plain awesome. Rare was just plain awesome, they have had a few good games since then at least.

Anything they made for super nintendo or N64 really! I think I owned all of them at one point. Killer instinct comes to mind as one of the ones not mentioned here!

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.

I played Killer instinct for the N64, and everybody knew The Wolf-Man Cheat, to do a 100-Combos easy, on anybody.
It also the best way to unlock the Last Boss and The Sky Stage.

I would have to say my top three are Killer Instinct, GoldenEye and Battletoads & Double Dragon.
Killer Instinct was my favorite fighting game to come out during that generation. I love the characters, loved the combo system and really liked the no rounds two health bar life system. KI is one of the games I really wish they would either bring out on VC or XBLA but I know that its a 99.999999999% chance of ever coming out on either. One of these days I am just going to have to get me a SNES and a N64 and get KI and KI 2.

I completely forgot Diddy Kong Racing! It provides a unique twist on racing games in that you have to actually drive/fly/sail to your next set of races rather than selecting them from a list. You also have to collect tokens to access the races, and defeat bosses after all races are complete.
The one downside was that you have to win each race. No points accumulation here.

That's usually how racing games are.

@Tasuki I had no idea Battletoads/Double Dragon was a Rare game. That is one fine piece of entertainment. I'll send you my copy of Killer Instinct (N64) if you wanna trade a game or something.
Oh, and I'll nominate Goldeneye and Perfect Dark for my favs..
Double Dragon was by Rare? The ones on the NES, right? Just the first or the other one or two as well? I own two I think, never noticed before though...

The whole Banjo-Kazooie franchise is brilliant--and yes, that includes the criminally under-rated Nuts and Bolts. Obviously I'm a huge Goldeneye fan as well.

Lol I appricate the offer but I would still have to get a N64 since I traded mine in a few years ago for the Game Cube when that came out.
@Ravage: The Double Dragon games werent done by Rare at all just the game BattleToads & Double Dragon was made by Rare. I guess whoever held the rights to Double Dragon at the time gave Rare permission to use the Double Dragon characters. Thats also why that game as fun and interesting as it is is never considered part of the Double Dragon storyline.
