Zero Mission, definitely. It is the most enjoyable Metroid for me simply because I never got stuck for more than a few minutes. In fact, it is the only Metroid I've completed. Super Metroid, although I acknowledge that it is better in many ways, was too hard for my completely non-hardcore skills (or maybe that area with the quicksand just was the most annoying thing ever). And I gave up constantly redoing the tiresome platforming section before the final boss in Metroid Prime.

Least favourite: Hunters. Ugh.

The Prime Trilogy was brilliant from start to finish. Prime was so fresh and the world was so authentically alien, and it kicked ass. Echoes light/dark system had me hooked from the go. And Corruption perfected it, with controls and atmosphere matched by nothing else.

Of the ones I played (and never beat...) i'd have to say Prime. The only one i've beaten is the first...

My favorite is the original Metroid, followed closely by Super Metroid. I have Metroid Prime Pinball, and it is very cool, more of a pinball game than a Metroid game, but if you like both then you should give it a try.

Metroid Prime hands-down. It sold me the Gamecube.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

I own Super Metroid, have progressed about 15% through Prime 3, and have played Metroid 1 & 2. I'd have to say Prime 3 is my favorite.

all of the above. If this were a Scantron, consider E filled in with a horizontal line of graphite.

I never played Super Metroid when i was a kid, so I've just recently given it a shot on the VC. It's a lot better than what I expected, and also more frustrating at parts! Then I'll play the other Metroid games to see which one i like best.

For my favorite GBA Metroid I would have to say Zero Mission that game is a load of fun.

The original, as it's the first one i played and spent hours with as a kid, making maps, discussing Ridley and Kraid strategies with friends, etc. Super Metroid is the better game and Fusion is great as well, but Metroid is my favorite.

I am one of those heretics who's not too big on the Prime Trilogy. They are awesome games, no doubt, but just didn't hold my interest the same way that the 2D titles (still) do.

She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong.

Metroid Prime - at the moment. I really need to finish Super Metroid after I beat Prime.

the one for the gameboy was my favorite.. i'm pretty sure it was called Return Of Samus. god i would love to go back and play that game. that was like 15 years ago or something lol

Prob Super Metroid, though if I'd been the same age playing through Prime the first time, that probably would've taken the cool-atmosphere cake. 3 got away from the large, barren, lonely/adventurous thing a bit too much for my liking, and 2's music didn't carry it the same way 1's did.
