I'm curious to see what you Retro fans here at NL think of the PSone games? I know that most of the 3D games are horrifying to try and play today, but there were some awesome 2D games for the system that would fit well on any Nintendo platform.
My personal favorite would have to be Wild 9. I'll let this video do the talking for me: [youtube:1TAQ9v9o55k]
So, I could easily name just about every single on of them, but what are some of yours?

@Slappy: in terms of the '2D' that video describes, my favorite would have to be Threads of Fate. man am i ever in the mood to play that game again D:

Haha, I intentionally left out the likes of Symphony of the Night to let you guys list it.
@TBD I actually never got the chance to play Threads of Fate, but I need to rectify that mistake soon!
@shingi I loved the PSone Frogger! Me and my brother played that game to death and then some.
@kevohki The smile on my face when I saw that you listed Tomba and Tomba 2! These are easily two of the best 2D platformers ever developed, and if you've got copies of the game, then you need to keep them very safe as they are worth a ton of money!

Has to be Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for me. If we're talking about platformers, honorable mention to Castlevania Chronicles, and Strider 2 (giving me original arcade Strider and Strider 2 in one!). If we're expanding it to fighters, have to throw in the Street Fighter Alpha series, and Street Fighter Collection Vol. 1 & Vol. 2. Volume 2 was especially noteworthy to me, as it finally gave me a (near) arcade perfect Street Fighter II, Champion Edition, and Hyper Fighting at home!
Edit: SNES thread got me thinking. Have to give the same qualifier I gave there. If you count Final Fantasy V as a Super NES game, favorite is Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Counting Final Fantasy V as a PSX game, it's my fav. Why couldn't Square just released FF V to the entire world and avoid confusion like this?
whoa whoa whoa wait a minute, does Suikoden count towards this? if so, Suikoden II is my choice, hands-down. i don't really think it counts in terms of the type of game shown in the video Slappy posted, though...? i'm so confused D: D: D:
